Watch the channel before judging big dog! Also, two types of Ventus shafts: stock and after market. This is a stock shaft that comes with the driver. And I’m an 8 handicap who happened to be struggling with driver for 4 months.

Thanks Thomas! You may be able to get some used trackmans for around 10K! I believe foresight has moved onto a subscription model, bringing their launch monitors to a more affordable upfront cost. The GC3 is pretty awesome! I think GC4 is a bit higher than 10K, but you don’t have to pay for monthly

@@ErndogGolf I gotta tell you, I was playing the par 3 course in town last night with my son and a young couple who were paired with us. She was struggling with her swing and I offered a pointer which got her hitting the ball solidly (I’d normally never do that, but her boyfriend was struggling to straighten her out and they were about to get at each other). Then she asked me for a pointer after she flubbed a chip and I started to show her the hip rotation back and then through… and the Sidekick mantra came to mind and I just couldn’t talk… hahahahah. I couldn’t even think of belly-button or anything else.

This video popped up in my recommended list at the right time. I was beating myself up for hitting the ball poorly lately when in the last month or so I've actually somehow been playing kinda consistently. I definitely don't have a good swing but I was making it work and having fun but the past couple of days I've been micro analyzing every flaw in my swing and it's just made me so mad. Reading all of these comments made me realize that I need to go back to having fun and accept that things like this are bound to happen in golf.

Like any sport… someone with a decent amount of athleticism or hand eye coordination can get so far, but eventually everyone hits a temporary ceiling. You can’t expect the massive leaps in improvement to keep happening so you have to temper your expectations. The closer you get to being a scratch golfer the harder it gets. Really small things are usually what separates those players, but they are a big deal in the end. Chasing swing perfection can be a fools errand at times. Having a reliable shot shape, good distance control and a good short are all you need… and really good decision making. Hitting ball perfect every time puts too much pressure on your game. Accept it and enjoy playing. You’ll get there once you realize you don’t need a great swing… just a reasonably decent one.

It will depend largely on how you grip the club. For someone with a super strong grip, that kind of release will give you pull hooks all day long.

Took these theories to the course yesterday after two weeks of swing practice in the garage and two days at the range. So happy. I had my struggles but hit so many nice well struck shots. I hit 4 high tight DRAW 3:12 bombs with my driver. Never done that. At 67 I never attempted a draw swing as my base swing. I would hit draws on holes with big dog leg left set up. Mostly a low worm burner hook 😀. Thanks. I keep watching the vids and practicing Zach’s lessons
