How to play the best golf of your life
Спорт
I am joined this week by a great friend, who is currently playing the best golf of his life. In the last 4 months, his handicap has dropped from a 5 to a 1 and his dedication to the game has paid huge dividends. In the video, I'm playing a round of golf with Kevin and asking him about all of the changes he has made to his game, and what has gotten him to play this good. He also caddies for me and gives us tips that he has learned in the last few months.
I hope you all enjoy and remember to like the video if you enjoyed it!

been stuck at 13 for a few months but after your fitting video i went to go shaft fitted. turns out i was playing a very lightweight regular flex and my swing speed of 100-105 was causing 3500-4000 rpm of spin and i was only getting 230 out of my driver. put a stiff heavier shaft and first swing was 260 pin straight. here comes single digits! thanks for your videos

Playing with him is so cool too, man! It seriously makes me play better!
I never had a golf lesson. Been all self-taught but been struggling with a little out to in on my driver and 4 iron. It's just those two clubs though. Gonna give it another month of practice on my own to fix. If no improvement I'll half to invest in a swing coach. Going on a golf vacation and I just singed up with PGA to get a handicap. Just need to play some rounds and send in my score. My new Taylormade P7MB clubs that I got fitted last month (Same fitting place as the one you went to) has given me such better spin, ball flight, and more control for shaping shots from my old Callaway Rogue ST Max set.

Dude that’s awesome! Yeah man, the longer clubs are definitely tougher to shallow. Best of luck and keep me updated!

Aw man, sorry to hear that! Time to grind on swing changes, if needed! It’ll be tough to play in the states after October because of daylight savings, so I’ll be working on speed then!

@@ErndogGolf nice! I trained speed last winter in the gym and with speed stick gone up around 10-12 mph with driver 💣💣
Great stuff - really interesting, valuable info guys. Does Kevin actually practice those low punch shots? I seem to end up hitting out from under trees at least a couple of times a round but not truly confident with my technique - it seems a weird thing to practice though ! Like preparing for mistakes 😂

Hahahahahah that’s a really good question, I don’t know if he actually practices it. Let me ask him and I’ll get back to you!

I’m just another viewer but Golf is a game of misses! If you’re able to I’d drop a ball a or two per 9 in the trees or a trouble spot and try to get out. Even getting a feel for how to chip a ball into the centre of the fairway rather than have it roll all the way across to the other rough. Practice doesn’t need to be in volume if you make it high quality - and there’s no higher quality than practice on the course. I asked my coach how to practice these shots once and that was what he told me. Plus when you get drop a ball behind a tree there’s a lot more incentive to get the curve or trajectory you want than on a Range. Not every round needs to be about getting the best score.
Blah I’ve been around 13-15 all year. Just wondering what the difference maker really is for guys who get into low single digit handicaps

Hey PJo! It’s more greens in regulation. Keep track of stats and figure out what’s preventing you from hitting 12+ greens per round
