  You don’t need a car if you live anywhere near Sukhumvit, but it is a nice to have for trips away from Bangkok. I kept my car for this reason. When in Bangkok it is BTS or taxis.

  It is cheaper for me to live in the UK than Thailand. I have no rent, also utilities are cheaper. Even food is cheaper here. Beer is more expensive in Thailand. I am still going to Thailand for a month holiday in November.

  hi Peter I just wanted to ask you a question as it's never been. appetized is it okay to buy lottery tickets the ones I’m on about is the street lottery on the boards and if I won the jackpot would I be able to claim as I noticed lot of foreign people buy the tickets? Just checking to see if it’s on waste of time as I think we would not be paid out, could you explain yourself to me?

  Yes you are permitted to buy the ticket and if it's a winning ticket you will get paid out

  No need to own a car. I live in Sukhumvit and we use hire car service whenever we wanna go afar. Otherwise day to day BTS or MRT is more than adequate.

  Idiot of the Week goes to the Texan oil dude who messed with a poontang at his workplace. The Golden Rule about not defecating on your own doorstep has been in place for centuries and to ignore it is a recipe for disaster, especially in this day and age. At my workplace, we have to leave our office door open when female students visit. The Texan is guilty of abuse whether the relationship was consensual or not. The abuse is based on 'power imbalance'. If the nonsense had gone down in Wichita Kansas where there is not a lot of decent poontang knocking around, you might excuse the dude. But Thailand has bars for husband's who get the itch and tall girls who look like models. Shoot, some of them are models. No strings attached. The dude is lucky he only wrecked his career and not his marriage

  The full monty is almost £9, whilst in Bangkok! Seems a bit steep to me, capitol city or not. Same breakfast in the UK at a wetherspoons outlet would be £6.50ish with tea or coffee. Prices have gone bananas in Thailand this past 3-4 years. I'm aware of 'you get what you pay for ', as I used to insist on breakfast at The Butcher's Arms in Pattaya(now sadly long gone) and their top breakfast used to equate to £5ish, which in 2014 ish was 35% dearer than almost anywhere else. But godamn it was worth it.

  I understand you are allergic to latex, I just wanted to inform you that there are condoms made with no latex, usually they are made of polyurethane. Just ask at a pharmacy it’s very common. Then using protection or not is your decision but be aware that a product for allergic people does exist. Hope this helps.
