Just pick names of businesses up off their signage and enter it into google maps along with the city. I do it all the time and it works well.

"occasionally" is the word. Like once every 2000 years. Yet every bloke who goes to Thailand thinks they have struck the millennium lottery.

😮 i have visited the Philippines more than 20 times for business and some pleasure and have now retired in Thailand 🇹🇭 👍 ... i never felt safe in Philippines and as the guy said there are " maraming " ( many ) wannabe gangsters there and believe me they can be dangerous ... Thailand 🇹🇭 is also far from perfect but the majority if Thai's are much more genuine and honest ( maybe their culture and religion ) ... the scams they pull in Philippines are horrendous so ALWAYS be vigilant when there 🙏

That last story was a lovely little story, it's nice to hear the good ones as much as the bad ones sometimes. Hope you're well. You look so different now you're living in Thailand, you look a lot fitter that's for sure. I've just spent 14 months out there and I looked and felt the fittest I had for years. You can go down one of two routes... The girls and the bars and drinking, or you can actually live a really healthy lifestyle in Thailand, for very little money. Chok dee mate! 👍😊

Hi David yes I've been trying to look after myself I exercise everyday and I try to eat healthy and I've cut out all deep fried food as well as unhealthy snacks

Interesting the time in the card scam..17 years...about the same time, a women made conversation about her younger sister having a new job, at the hospital from, where im from after asking me, (seems they remember all the hospital names), and can you come to out house and tell Mama all about your city...same, i went along they took me to the houseand the card game scam starts to unfold..i got out, said i cant play cards, and backpacker budget.....told my then GF about it, she said the Indo police were after a Philipin o gang running the scam...

I live in the SF bay area and cannot for the life of me understand how a person that grew up in Thailand could tolerate the weather there. It's horribly cold. I think it was Mark Twain that said, "The coldest Winter I ever felt was Summer in San Francisco"... He was right- It sucks. Good story Peter, thanks.....

Peter, Rizal is pronounced R the "i" is the short I as in ink so far Ri with zal. Just pronouncing it the way the Philippine nationals do. TAXIS in Thailand: Never get into a taxi before getting affirmation the meter will be put on. If a price is quoted take the number plate as accurate as possible and report to hotel management. Even do as I did one trip and show drawing of number plate to driver and tell them police for you.

story 2 seems fake to me, but you never know

@@ThailandBound It is possible but properly overstating his success rate to show off. A lot of girls will give out duff numbers just to get rid of you! I dated a nurse but very different to the usual bar girl experience

Last story comment; it’s worked out so far, all the friends she met in San Francisco are ex hookers, and you don’t yet know about your wife’s boyfriends while you have been together. Wait until the end to decide how lucky you are.
