Last story reminds me of the Pattaya saying "you don't lose the girl, you just lose your place in line. I remember my 1st time in Pattaya 12 years ago. I met a retired Greek ship worker whom looked like Popeye tell me "you will never find love in Pattaya". Unless you want your heart broken truer words have never been spoken. Peter you were a savior during Covid lockdown. Your stories kept my dream alive. I looked forward to them on a weekly basis and with your cool calm voice sounded like bedtime stories. A lot of times actually helped me fall asleep. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

nana plaza did have a bar like (back in 2001) that with ping pongs and darts etc, as you walked into the plaza on the left hand side right at the top at the back cant remember what it was called, i was in there one night sat at the stage but there was a massive screen showing football so i was watching that....a few of the girls in there were coming up to me asking why i not watch show and i said i like football the faces on these girls were priceless who would be in Bangkok in a sleazy bar where girls were on stage naked balloons getting burst ping pong balls flying around and i was sitting watching the football...only in Thailand

Happy New Year Peter - thanks for today stories. I've noticed the change to the background (streetscape) and you in the bottom right hand corner. I think it's better than the waterfalls, but it might have to grow on me.

Omg that last story really got me, I imagined me standing and looking at the girl I felt butterflies for cuddled up with her regular client and looking atmeand ignoring my pain... horribleworst heart breaking feeling ever. I would have gotten seriously heart broken after that. Thank you for the story.

Story#5. Guy actually made it okay after realizing what the lady had done. I'm only puzzled why he asked refund from the lady? He did not specify if he was stupid enough to pay in advance instead of daily payment. Yes bar fine you have to pay in advance but the bar is the place to ask for a refund.

Yes, guys usually pay for everything in Pattaya, but I once found myself in the opposite situation from what you might expect: I had a foot massage - I liked the massage lady, so I asked for her phone number. A few nights later we went out drinking at a live music venue in Walking Street. Afterwards, we went to my room and spent the night together. I added her on facebook, and I slipped some money into her handbag while she was in the shower. Afterwards, she messaged me to ask why I'd given her money! Turns out she was a good one - we're still in contact to this day.

Thank u Peter this new format of u in the forehead and with a real Thailand background video is just good for the vibes.

Hi Peter, when I was in Bangkok in 2022, I met a Taiwanese guy who was in Thailand with his girlfriend on the airport train, and he wanted to go to soi cowboy, so we met up there 2 days later, but most of it was still closed back then. So one of the "taxi " drivers ( not a real taxi driver) said he could take us to a ping pong show. I was suspicious of this guy, and I told my friend we need to be careful, but we agreed to go. I’ll never forget the car he drove, it was a late ‘80s red Toyota Corolla sedan in immaculate condition, inside & out . He only charged 100 Baht for the 7 minute ride, and he took us towards in the opposite direction from Asok Montri rd, and going by memory, I think it was in Pluk Chit alley, as I recall he dropped us off not far from this ally, which had office buildings & a seven -eleven nearby. I went in first, just t make sure it was a legit place, and it was. I think we paid 800 Baht entry, and beers were 100 Baht each. The show went for about 45-60 mins. After that, we went to a restaurant which was almost empty , but all the furniture & fit out was all from about 1990, right down to the old school CRT T.V’s. I recall having to walk back 45 mins to my Hotel alongside Benjakitti Park to soi11 , as I literally spent all my money I had. I also went to one I’m in 2017, that a decent tuk-tuk driver took me too, but can’t recall the location, but it was 1000 Baht, with one beer included with the entry fee. The interesting thing was at this last one, a tourist bus pulled up with about 30 all female middle aged Chinese women (only) tourists !

That last one - you should have spoken to them both on that bus in front of everybody! Made her feel awkward and possibly lose a customer if the old bloke knows that she's more dishonest than he imagined. Don't let people treat you like that without any consequences. It's a bit of a giveaway if she disappears through 'illness' and doesn't even tell you about it. Another example of lies staring somebody in the face but them being so desperate for a fleeting moment of romantic happiness in their lives that they ignore all of the glaringly obvious signs of lies and deception. I think he did it pretty well in the bus... Speak to them? what for? Confront a working girl because she's not loyal to you? Start a fight with a random dude and ruin your holidays?? That's ridiculous.. Don't forget you're in Pattaya dealing with working girls...what do you expect? The big mistake was not to forget the girl 5 minutes after she didn't turn up and enjoy his holidays with other girls.

Hi Peter, great to listen to the stories as usual. Maybe I’m the odd one out, I do however prefer when you are in larger format in the centre of the screen. For some reason I lose focus on the stories and just watch the video in this format. Keep up the good work

What a fool the last guy was. Many people commenting on the new format. I really don't care as i lie down on the sofe, close my eyes and listen to the stories, but sometimes i even fall asleep

If possible, could you add text on the walkabout video every now and then to say what Soi / Road / district you are walking on as I think I will not be alone in finding it really useful for orientation. Appreciate this is adding to your workload(!!) Your videos re life in Thailand gave me the confidence to visit BKK and Pattaya last month and I am planning on retiring there in a few years time. Thank you for the content and advice, it is much appreciated.

Great stories this week, also really love the walk about background. Would like to see that more often. That last story was interesting, I’ve learned a long time ago, never pay anyone for something up front, sex 33:13 33:13 or other wise.

Wow, that last guy. Living proof that just watching KZread videos won't cut it. Also, the reason you don't get a baht bus at the top end of 2nd road isn't because you pay a set fee. Unless you aproach the driver it's still only 10 baht. The reason you don't get in the back of those baht buses is because he won't leave until it's near full and they could take a while.

No sorry, you've misunderstood me. What I meant was, several times in the past I have gone to those parked baht buses they asked me where I'm going and then told me how much without me even asking. Anyway the point is just don't go to them parked up buses walk further down the road

2 seemed obvious to me

Peter initially it was interesting to see your new format of you as a Voice Over and visual insert in the corner against a moving background. However and within a few seconds, the backdrop became very distracting. Your stories were about Pattaya. I have watched many Pattaya walkabout videos such as Buzzin and Steady Eddy, and I always try to identify the locations such as Soi Bukauo and side streets from my many visits. So here in your new format it was very confusing for me. Within one minute I put my phone on the side and just listened to your stories as an audio. The crux of the matter is that I found it very hard to listen to the meat of your stories while being visually distracted. I am a story teller myself. It's like telling a bedside story to a young kid while having icecream or a bar of chocolate on the table next to you. Your audience may be continually distracted if they identify with the backdrop. Put simply, the mix and match approach is very hard to multi-task for me. This is especially tough for an older guy like myself (77). Your eye candy of a busty young wench on your thumbnail is right on. But moving walkabout while story telling doesn't work for me. The whole point of a story is for the listener to immerse himself in the context and to visualise what it's all about. His mind wanders through the description. This type of engagement between listening and involvement is critical. I don't know how other subscribers feel about this. But as a new KZread channel creator myself, I find that audience feedback is important for ongoing content improvement. Change and growth is important for audience retention. I hope you will accept my review in the spirit it is intended as positive criticism. As a subscriber and a contributer (you have read half a dozen of my stories), I thank you for everything. You have served as a role model that has helped my new channel, even though it is in a completely different niche. Thankyou.

It's very difficult to please everybody all of the time I've taken your point on board I've just changed the format and I'm waiting for feedback so far the feedback has been positive yours is the first negative feedback but I understand what you're saying. I'll see how it goes if I get a lot of positive feedback then I'll keep the format if I get a lot of negative feedback then I'll go back to the old format I think at the moment it's too soon to tell... but maybe you could go through the comments on this video and see how many positive remarks there are versus how many negative comments there are

Hi Pete. Just listened (and watched) these stories in the airport as I’m heading back to UK very soon. All great- just shows that you really need to be carful before even thinking about trusting / believing any bar girls. As you know, I tend to go for the ladies with proper jobs! It happened to me 3 times in the Philippines and once in Thailand. The last time it occured at a restaurant, my date brought an old aunt as a chaperone. Peter - this gives me a good idea for a short story. I'll write to you about it.
