The last story about gambling struck a cord Around 2000 i met a Thai girl in England and we dated for a year or so. She introduced me to casinos and liked nothing more than loosing some one else's money. This fell apart as she unexpectedly married ( well unexpected by me). Fast forward 10 years and she suddenly turns up on my doorstep kids in tow. 'I've come to stay with you' she announces. After the initial shock I tell her to sling her hook. 'But you said you loved me' Probably did 10 years previously. Anyway we had a bit of chat and it turns out she had emptied hubby's bank account and savings, then maxed her credit cards trying to win the cash back. Being on the verge of being found out she was trying to bolt. I sent her home telling her to talk to her husband. Worse case scenario he divorces her then given the kids would probably be the one that ended up leaving. Never saw again so I guess it worked out.

What a wonderful collection of stories! My favourite story is the one from the school teacher who taught English in Chon Buri.

Hi Peter, huge thumbs up to what you are doing here. Your content is entertaining, funny, educational and amazingly graceful considering the sometimes sensitive content of your videos. I love listening in when I fix things around our apartment or tinker with my bike. I have lived in Asia for 15 years now, mostly China, wife, kids, happily married, never considered visiting red light districts, but still love listening to your viewer stories. Please keep it up!

Great stories with great variety. Gambling is a B I G problem with Asians. I love your "Dodg'em" technique in the traffic. Personally, I prefer natural attractions. That is just me.

Peter, you've mentioned questions about your video format several times. This is my favorite format for your videos. Your face is there as well as active background content. For me its not that important if you are walking or its just a static camera position video of street traffic. I enjoy both equally!

Great stories Peter! When I first came to Thailand in 2003 I remember reading in the BKK Post that the government was cracking down on fake teaching degrees, many of them being printed on Khaosan Rd, and there was actual prison time handed out for the fraud. He was lucky.

Peter, theres nothing wrong with your diction in fact you're an excellent story teller. I don't get anyone complaining about your swallowing, your hairstyle, your shirt or any other stuff that has no bearing on the stories. Great channel, thank you for what you do.

Peter, try some lemon/lime water with a bit of 7up/Sprite...that should fix you up mate! Get well...😊

The story with the fake qualification for teaching made me smile, especially that part when they were being interviewed and there was a young Melbourne guy with two degrees having a heated discussion with the assessor. I'm guessing the interview was not going well for him and he thinking that he was ENTITLED (like many over educated people do) could not accept that he wasn't wanted lol.... but I am only guessing :-)

The upload wasn't late, I released it as I normally do on a Saturday.

Mot story actually sounds real. When you lose your passport, or someone steals it, if you are in the country legally... just go to the embassy and get a new passport. It's pretty simple, and straight forward. If you got a photo copy of the passport, it should help expedite the process. When they say they are trapped because someone is holding their passport... that's just stupid.

At this point you've got to be yanken our leg Mr. Peter!! There is no way someone is complaining about you swallowing!!!😂🤣 I'm using the Raycon surround sound over ear headphoness. I bought them specifically to listen to your stories. I could probably hear a stray dog silently pass gas outside your house with these bad boys!😂 And so far I haven't heard anything except good stories! Keep it up my friend! 😁👍🏻

I’ve listened to dozens of your videos now, and not once have I heard you or been distracted by your “swallowing.” I have no idea what that bloke was referring to at the end there.

From my experience in April, there is not much difference between a massage therapist and a bar girl. I could not get a massage without having sex, and I tried. I even got a foot massage from uniformed therapist, and it still ended up in sex...ha ha. Only in Thailand.

There are reputable massage shops all over Thailand if you know where to go you can get a decent massage that doesn't cost a lot without anything added offered

Regarding the “SWALLOW” …. hmmm that’s one of the first time’s i’ve ever heard a guy complain about doing that HAH … But on a serious note, there may be a function called a “GATE” it is an audio device, usually it is built into the software, and it has the ability to cut noises that a “LOW” volume, and it only allows sounds to “PASS” that meet a certain threshold. Another application for that could be to cut out the sound of the AC or other unwanted background noise. And only allow to pass the volume of you speaking … just a thought Videos are great as always

Hiya Peter, i would just like to ask you a question ❓. I met a bar girl in Pattaya the first time I went there last year , well i met the girl in a gents club , we got on well together and we met when she was on her days off , we used to go for a meal then a bar we played pool a lot, anyway when i went home we kept in touch and i was so surprised when she was barfined for a week ,and she krpt sending me photos from what she was doing like when she went swimming or was taken for a meal, then a few weeks after that she went back to her village,, again she sent me more photos of her time back home every day ,,,, my question is why would she carry on sending me photos of these times , especially when she was with another customer, we still message each other, thanks for any answers

The guy teaching without a degree was something else. I can only think that he did more good than harm Although between the gym teacher running around naked by the pool and the school administrator not allowing students to lose was too much. I have a Masters in psychology and work as a substance abuse clinician here in the U.S. I wonder how I would fare, although I would nedd a lot more money than $647.00 a month.
