Hi Peter, i do like the hat i bought the same, i have to keep protected from the sun now, sadly 30 plus years of traveling sunny Asia has left me with skin cancer, controlled at the moment but dam painful during treatment at times, keep shaded keep safe, cheers.

Definitely liking the hat. The hotel seems pretty nice for 700 Bsht but I'm like you, l have to have a decent breakfast on hand to truly enjoy my stay at any hotel.

Made the journey from home in Bangkok (Bangkapi) to Lopburi on a scooter. Took me around six/seven hours with breaks and driving wrong ways. But it was fun.

Nice ropm and the hat looks good on You..!!!

Have been to Lopburi end of March (2024), and I found the reports of "Monkeys bullying the entire town" very much exaggerated. I stayed in the Lopburi Inn, some two/three kolometres east of the Train station. No monkeys at all. The monkeys are only around the old temple and the market and in front of the train station. Yes, market people there have to suffer and are annoyes....but saying the monkeys rule the town is very untrue.

Damn....i was at Lopburi some 20 years ago.

Very good video Peter, i enjoyed the hotel review. Here in Pennsylvania USA that room would be about $125 and no free breakfast.

I stayed at a hotel in the centre of lop buri once. I think it was called the monkey hotel. They had a big brewery in the hotel and made a beer called monkey beer. It was very tasty. I liked lop buri it was fun seeing all the monkeys in the street

Yes but you're missing the point! The videos enabled people to see what the room looks like, see what the bathroom looks like, see if the hotel is clean, what facilities they have, do they provide food or not? I don't think viewers need me to tell them whether a hotel is good or bad when they look at the video.

Soidog154. You write a review if its a good or decent hotel, otherwise you say nothing, thats how it works in 🇹🇭 and I dont think thats all bad. If you had a subpar experience, talk to Hotel directly and give them a chance to improve.

Around 5000 baht a night in United States for a place like that

The most important thing about a hotel room is a non squeaky bed

Rather basic hotel Peter.if you were backpacking it would suit.

I dont know why people feel the need to tell you hiw much your hotel room would cost in America. Then they dont mention how much of the average daily wage it is. 700 baht is 2 days wage for the average Thai. All a bit annoying. Old Buzzin Trev talks about the baht buses being too cheap, 10 baht to a Thai person on an average wage is who uses them them most. Its not cheap for them. BTY nice hotel cost you 200 quid in the UK

It's very easy to write a comment like this but you haven't supplied the name of the hotel so I can check on a Agoda, I'm going back at the end of June something tells me I won't hear from you again... and I suspect there isn't a hotel that serves a decent breakfast for £14 or you would have told us all here
