I was at the Motor Show in the Convention Centre Bangkok last month and both my wife and had free entry passes. What we didn't know was that we had to register the passes on Line to get in. However the guy at entry was very helpful, he asked if we were over 60, which we are. I showed him a copy of my passport and both my Wife and I got in for free as seniors. I was very impressed with that.

Thanks for the info. I had to go through the comments to confirm that you can buy at the stations. Definitely getting one of each. As far as charging less for Thai. I see myself as a guest, and if I can afford the visit, I can afford helping the owner's access to their attractions. I don't pay taxes like they do, so not an issue for me.

Maybe the Thai 2 tier system is “racist”, but so what? Is that a bad thing? That they look after their own people? Maybe people in this country (UK) wouldn’t feel so thoroughly f**ked over if native Brits took priority sometimes over people who have only been here 5 minutes. Just a thought…

You tell us about the cards, and you need your passport, obviously...but....you don't even mention how and where to obtain the cards. You need to slow down and think! more before giving information. Thanks anyway, I'll do my own research.thanks.

@ian-uk4570: I would have thought that information was very obvious to everybody and didn't need me to speak about it Of course you would obtain the tickets from each station where else?

Yes, I understand where to go.but Peter should have mentioned where to go and how much etc.. for the newbies that go to Bangkok. Not all are smart arses are we...🙄🤔 in the UK you get the cards from newsagents or 7/11 as well metro station. This will go out to many viewers who have never travelled before. That was my point.. obviously.👍

I'm sorry but if somebody is so thick they can't work out where to buy a train ticket they shouldn't bother coming to Bangkok and I did explain the price of everything

Thanks Peter - The Rabbit card costs a small fee for the card maybe B200. Ive had mine for probably ten years and keep refilling it. The other benefit is you can pay fro things like coffee using you Rabbit card, particularly around BTS stations.
