Always hard to hold the tears back every time I hear this beautiful song. Love how he lets the girls put their special touch to it at the end!

Boz and his unique voice used to be one of the go to artists for soft rock and make out music when I was a much, much younger person but this is a great version of that classic love song. Another artist along the same vein of unique voice and wonderful love songs is Van Morrison.

I had an 8 track of "Silk Degrees" that was a Top Of The List make out album 😏 Some very fond memories that remain vivid 😊

Beautiful version of this song. One of the few live performances (IMO) that actually surpass the original studio version. Thanks so much for finding this and sharing!

The whole "Silk Degrees" album is great. Remember when it came out in 1976. It has a bluesy sound to it. Two of his most famous songs from that album are "Lowdown" & "Lido Shuffle". Some other songs are "It's Over", "What Can I Say", "We're All Alone", "Harbor Lights" & "Jump Street".

Love the Silk Degrees album! So many great songs my favourite being "What can I say"!

As much as I enjoy watching Shawn get into a great love song, I was full of anticipation for Mel's reaction to the girls closing it out.

My husband sang this to me in his band the first night we met .Back in the early 80 Heard this song many times and the night my husband sang this to me was breathtaking. I've made my husband watch it with me soo many times that we both pop.off with lines from the movie occasionally. It's been pretty hot in Central Cali. lately and yesterday my husband was sitting by me and I was sweaty 😓 .. yuk. Anyway, I heard him in his country girlish voice say." The Director of Urban Cowboy called up Boz Scaggs and David Foster and asked for a love song for his movie and he needed it by the morning. The two then wrote this song in about 30 minutes and used their buddies who were in the studio, members of TOTO and The Eagles to cut the song that night, and they put the tapes on a plane for the Director to use that morning. They later added the women background singers, and that's the song that wound up on the soundtrack. The original cut with just the guys is on Boz Scagg's album.

John Travolta was in it and he and his new wife were separated and the side chick used this song to make sure his wife saw him at the country nightclub they hung out at- and were married in.
