2 Ingredient Biscuits Made From Scratch | Quick And Easy Recipe | The Southern Mountain Kitchen

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I am making Made From Scratch 2 Ingredient Biscuits. This recipe is easy and quick to make, you only need two ingredients. In the end, you get wonderful biscuits in no time at all. These remind me of the ones from Cracker Barrel but at a lot lower cost. I hope you enjoy this, as much I do.

Nice. I love these mouth-watering YT biscuits but lacking kitchen counter space usually bake (yikes!) frozen biscuits, which in fairness are darned good. Obviously at twice the cost.

Yum! I was wondering if you think this would work if I dropped blobs of the dough on top of a chicken pot pie filling?

I have seen that done with canned biscuits, and I see no reason this would not work with fresh made ones. Best Wishes!

I’m glad. I have been looking for a good recipe to replace canned biscuits on chicken pot pie. This is the one.

Hello, I tried this recipe twice. Mine crumbled too easily. I was unable to eat them as a biscuit with butter and jam. I was able to use them for biscuits and gravy. Can you advise if this is how they turn out? Your video doesn’t show you eating them.

It sounds like you added too much flour or too little heavy cream. If the mix seems a bit dry before you cut the biscuits, you can add additional heavy cream to make it a bit more wet.

Having a sticky dough is definitely key. I just made some but had to use almost 2 cups.

Did I miss how much flour to use? I'm guessing more than 2 cups but not as much as 3 cups. I never thought to use bacon fat to grease the pan. That's a game changer. When I was a kid in a family of 10, my mom started cutting the biscuits in squares with her favorite knife. She figured it takes less time. I still do it today, decades later. I always wanted the "triangle" corner ones. I'm a crusty bread kind of lady.
