I've been making this since I was a cook in the Navy. Total favorite of our ship's Captain's daughter when his family would visit. One tip to make this faster, easier and less messy; take a piping bag or a 1 gallon zip top bag, put your cheese mix into it, snip off a corner of the zip bag, and then pipe your cheese mix into the shells. One hand to pipe, one hand to hold the shells and place into your baking pan. Easy peasy. You can even mix your cheese mix in the bag before piping. One less bowl to wash, throw away the bag after you're done. Keep up the great vids.

Yes, the green beans are very good. When you make them like this, they stay a little more firm and not all soggy. As for the Chicken Fried Cube Steak, it was so good! You said yours came out greasy, did you have the temp up high enough before the meat went in? You only need enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Then save the rest of the oil for your gravy. @@semsemalkandari6714 I know Stawberry Soda is hard to find. A lot fo Walmart stores carry some version. It would probably work with a clear soda like Sprite becasue that would mix with the Jello, but the flavor would not be as strong.

These were a favorite amongst my sailors and Marines on my ship. We'd make 2300 portions and always ran out. As we cubed the potatoes we'd put them in our Hobart industrial mixer, on low w/ the paddle attachment, w/ water. This would help in getting that much more stretch out. After draining off the water, we'd add all seasoning and butter into the bowl and again slowly mix the potatoes, then portioned out onto the sheet trays. Ooohhh, they were so good! Thanx for sharing your recipe and method. I know you're gonna get a ton of positive responses!

We go through a lot of potatoes in my house, but you can put them with so many different things. However, i could never imagine how you dealt with so many potatoes at one time. My Dad said in the military he cooked crazy amounts of food per meal. I would go crazy trying to keep up. You are a brave man, lol. @@thesouthernmountainkitchen I was on and assault carrier. Out to sea we prepped and made 19K meals on a 24 hour clock. Peeling potatoes was easy. We had the industrial "sand paper" hopper. 30# of potatoes at a time. Fill it w/ taters, turn on the water and turn on the machine. It spun the spuds around in this very course sand paper-like contraption that stripped the skin right off in seconds. Wish I had a home version now. lol Long hours, 17-19 hours a day out to sea. In port we had great liberty, 3 days on, 3 days off...
