I have the same rifle, and love it. I have had no issues with it with about 1000 rds threw it. You need to smooth off the load-gate with a file, for better and safer insertion. I had a gunsmith do that for me. kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5qeybuPmKu5mKQ.html.

I have the 16 inch one coming, I'm hoping for something better lol. I've watched every video I can find and although I have seen a lot of failure to eject your issue is probably the worst I've seen they did end up changing the gas regulator on the newer rifles. I'm hoping they've worked out some of the problems , I guess I'll find out. It looks like to me you have a barrel problem it may be a problem for Ruger to take care of. It's supposed to be a softer shooter so that's telling me that there's something seriously off on your rifle. I hope you've worked it out I have high hopes for this rifle.

@ronnieboardman1673 I haven't taken care of it yet. My plan was to put ~300 rds through it to see if it would break in. But that's a lot of 308 just to break it in. If I send it to Ruger, I know they'll take care of it. Sorry for an update delay. Hasn't been high on the list of priorities.

I'm all in favor of pointing out deficiencies and areas that NEED improvement like the way the spare mags come out by pushing the button on the opposite side or the slide release button being unusable, but your rant about the space filler on the mag doesn't make sense to me. It's loose... but not when the mag is in the gun. Maybe someday they'll come out with a gun that'll take that mag and you'll have to remove that rubber thing to be able to use it. I don't know... but it doesn't cause any problem that I can see. if it's that much of an issue you can put a little silicon caulk or glue where you want the rubber to stay, and it'll stay there for a long time. The spare mag release mechanism needs to be redesigned and the slide release button needs to be slightly extended... Those are actual issues that you didn't even mention. The rubber filler on the mag is nothing at all.

Just a tad late for this but in drive?... sure as you know what those temps will be high... just came back from a 7k mile trip towing a trailer that is literally a parachute. Temps at 65-70 mph were at 186°. A 8k foot elevation gain, temps ONLY increased 13°. Ambient temps throughout the entire trip were 70° to 100°. Anyone that claims they need an aux trans cooler is insane for these 3rd gens. The driver is the reason behind those temps. Mechanical sympathy plays a large role in temps. Again, 7k miles towing a literal parachute of a trailer. These transmissions are extremely efficient and don't need much more of a cooling solution then oem unless you live in a desert climate. Having any vehicle in drive when towing and allowing the transmission to constantly shift is not mechanical sympathy.

@@ICanDoItMyself You showed the door off in the beginning then again after removing the inside of the box and the clip after but I couldn't get just the door off. Luckily I was able to get to the filter with one side of the door off I tried everything to release the left side without any luck. the blower was accessed from underneath. The video shows the whole box removed and how to put the door back on. At least that's what I was able to tell from the video. I was frustrated because every video instructions for the filter and blower started after the door was already removed. 🤷‍♀️ I have fixed it though, thank you for responding. 🤗

As a bonus our electric bill is ZERO and we bank excess power to use in the future when our solar underproduces. We didn't do it for that reason.

@danielryan9993 no, the lines are not marked. It may be marked on the side of the transmission but because I have a cat shield I can't verify. Then, it would be a matter of following the lines of they are marked. But sorry, I don't remember if the inlet/outlet is marked there either.
