Great video, I was on the fence about getting a Kel Tec Sub 2000 and the S&W FPC. I agree, with all the research I have done as well as talking to others, the FPC is the way to go. This S&W is going to be put on my Santa list and I hope Mrs. Clause agrees, good information, keep it up.

Just picked up my FPC last week. A real sweet looking firearm. I put a red dot on it and a light, so far. Looking forward to the range to break it in. Did you know the case is lockable? Yep, S&W put a lot of good engineering into this weapon etc. This is not just a toy for me. I'm using it for home defense and the main reason I got it was to pass down to my son to protect his young family. Maybe things will swing around the other way in the future. I hope so for my kids' sake.

If you are starting a collection, I would suggest you check out the Beretta CX4 Storm PCC.. It take 92 & PX4 Handgun mags up to the 30 rounders, I absolutely love mine. As a side note it was used in the last reboot of "Battlestar Galactica"... "So Say We All".. 😅 👍👍 Good video, thanks for sharing!

The Henry Homesteader PCC is also on the replaceable magwell train and can be purchased with a proprietary magwell, a Glock one, or a Smith/Sig one.

ill be looking for one in the new year...i'd outfit it almost exactly like this...good red dot at the very beginning of the rail, and a broom stick as a hand-stop...and i'd add a barrel shroud to protect the extended barrel after the hand guard...i have not heard/seen a bad review of this firearm yet...and at the price point, it looks to be a good choice as a home-defense weapon, and a nice gap stop with my AR-pistole, AR 16", 2 shotguns, and a couple 9mm pistols.

One thing I, or I haven't heard anyone else mention, is that for length, it's kinda in between something like an AR and a bullpup as far as length goes. Since the magazine goes into the grip, it allows for a shorter length without being a bullpup. Some people hate the idea of bullpups. I think you like it, if not love it.

@@ICanDoItMyself This is something I realized as well. It helps with the overall length being shorter and more maneuverable in a house setting. That and having the magazines stored in the buttstock makes this the idea weapon to grab and go if you are woken up in the middle of the night. I know a lot of people complain about the mechanism to release the 2 magazines in the buttstock but I've tested it and done some reps and it's not that hard. You can release the empty mag and at the same time reach back under the magazines with your offhand, reach to the opposite side to depress the lever and then use the space between your thumb and first finger to start pulling out the mag. Once it's far enough out you can then grab the mag, then rotate it as you pull it down to orient it properly to insert it into the grip. It's not that hard; it just takes some training/repetition.

Yankee Hill Machine has an mlok handstop that has a QD mount built into it. Depending on where you put it on the hand guard it might be clear of the stock and magazine and that would allow you to fold it. But if not... it is a QD so just disconnect it and the rifle would fold just fine with no obstruction on the side of the hand guard to get in the way.

You should be good to go if you mount a QD in the 3rd slot from the muzzle end on the left side of the handguard. You'll just have to detach your sling from that QD prior to folding.

@@ecobasetech4558 that could also work, I just have one of those Monstrum raider foregrip lights that occupy all the slots I'd use (can't mount it further forward because it bumps into the stock and won't lock up when folded)

That muzzle break seems to help; the recoil is stout but not bad, how do you like it.

I don't notice a difference with the break. The Sub2000 has a sharper recoil impulse but still not bad. The FPC is a ton of fun.
