i completely disagree with you i felt the pacing was off it felt more rushed and that they were 10 minutes shorter. i also think that i will continue to watch the show because its a good show with viewers that are taking a non series tv shows and saying that it shouldnt be fun

The diverse cast thing is totally fine, but I would like them to stop constantly talking about it and it has to make sense, too. Take the black dwarfes from amazons LOTR Show. It doesn't make sense because the dwarfes in tolkiens universe are living in isolated groups for thousands of years. Durin the Deathless was among the first sentient beings on middle earth and all of durins folk descended from him. And he was not black. In an isolated population like this everyone would have the same skin tone. As you said, the details are important. In Dune it makes sense for space fairing people to mingle. And it makes sense for the Fremen to mostly look like southern european, arabic or african people. Dune took the time to build a coherent, believable world.

I have been watching the old classic episodes and the most obvious difference is that in those days, the Doctor and his companions were protagonists in stories about something else. The modern era from Tennant onwards (with the exception of Martha), has been a framework to make the stories about the companions. The Tennant era was all about Rose. The Smith era was all about Rory and Amy. And this is about Ruby. It needs to stop.

I'm a fan of Dr Who, but it feels like after 13 they've basically rebooted the show to refocus on a younger more politically outspoken audience. I hope someday they get back to great storytelling instead of virtue signaling but I doubt it.

Nobody believes anything Disney says anymore, you can only bait and switch your fan base so many times until they go from disappointment to outrage to indifference, we've known for years what they're up to, they have no intention of fixing anything.. they lose billions and don't change, they're staffed with people on all levels from the higher ups to entry level employees that drink the Kool aid... In my opinion, my very favourite show ended when Capaldi left. The edgy, dark, well written episodes of Eccleston, Tennant, Smith and Capaldi are a thing of the past. They are trying to pander to a global audience perhaps? To find a greater audience whilst alienating (pun intended) the fans of old school Who? Saying that I do think Gatwa would make an excellent Doctor, if the scripts weren't filled with cartoon woke monsters, with annoying talking babies, silly goblin space pirate things - who are they trying to impress with this? As for the song and dance routine, a thousand times NO for me, I'm afraid. Compare these new episodes to Blink, Dalek, Army of Ghosts, Silence in the Library, The Pandorica Opens, Vincent and the Doctor - need I go on? I could list another dozen, two dozen, then remember even more. Emotive, gripping, properly thought out scripts, tender, menacing - top drawer entertainment. New stuff is formulaic Disney dollar pap.
