Yes OK, but they usually come in pairs and pinion you, so that stuff about waggling your arm around won't fly. Secondly, coppers wear very thick boots so any of that stamp on foot tendons isn't going to work.

I believe Aikido practice should mixed with Judo , if you could not bend someone joint wrist , at least you can throw him or disturb his balance , then you can use Aikido again

I don't understand your explanation as it is short sighted. However, must modern teachings of Aikdo are lacking. Advances Aikido has powerful atemi without blocking. Once you study long enough, you will find that you can fulfill both your explanations without blocks.

A phrase I always liked is "be ready to get rocked". You ARE going to get hurt, the key is to take the hits and keep moving. The closest you can get to being prepared for that is full contact training because pain or disorientation is overwhelming and you can't just ignore it unless you are, at least a little, used to it. Adrenaline only gets you so far. As Tyson said "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth".

I combine taekwondo with boxing for punches and kicks. Judo, a buddy, taught me the basic overhead throw, which is the only move from Judo i like, but I'll see if i lean more, and now this will definitely help

Domo arigato sensei

Very nice explanation. Dear Sir, You are talking about defences and attacks. But you are having good OORA around you. You are a good or may be emotional person who is taking care of all around.. You are nice person. I was watching your video and you too. Great to see this. Regards. I am from Gujarat, India. I respect your hard work to reach up to this where you are demonstrating and explaining so well. Regards. Jay Shree Krishna.

Aikido is great if your opponent is running at you with their arms out and never attempting to actually attack you and also willing to do a hilarious somersault if you barely touch them

Man, aikido is brutal, you use it so effectively, in a very practical manner, and you teach well. I call hand locks a bell of consciousness 🔔, a way to encourage a bully to quickly re-calculate. They will be thrown off gaurd, and put firmly under your control, at which point you can model for him how a man of character conducts himself and get safely about your business. #golden_rule I use aikido with small circle ju jitsu and my other martial arts. It’s a gresa art for protecting yourself in NYC, where I live, from the overly-inflated, entitled, Trump-y white bois who like to assert their toxic masculinity. And without getting slapped with an sssault charge - just don’t break anything. You strike me as a good man. Thank you for sharing. ✌️ 🤜🫷

Say what you will about SS but the fact that Japanese masters (and their opinion is the only one that counts) allowed him (the only westerner at the time) to run a dojo teaching of all things Aikido in their own backyard and trained with him is a true testament to his highly legit skill level and unmatched dedication to this art. If he was good enough to earn their respect he's legit enough to earn mine, period!!!🙂

Really simple - people that can really fight who learn aikido will adapt the martial art to their existing fighting ability. People that can't fight who learn aikido will add certificates and grades to their existing lack of fighting ability and nothing times nothing equals nothing! Rocky Marciano used boxing to help fine tune the fighting skills he already had. Boxing did not give him his talent for fighting. Either you can fight or you cannot! Martial arts were developed to allow people to safely practice fighting and thus all the forms of the arts have already had their teeth removed. If you are a non fighter then just be content with what you achieve in the dojo and don't be so stupid as to test out your martial art in the street. Reality sucks at times but sometimes it bites!
