Bruce Lee used many Aikido principles. When different martial arts reach it's peak form they converge to basic and deep teachings of the flow of energy. Brutal or delicate, it flows from one body to another, and Bruce Lee managed to show to the world a glimpse of this beautiful art. Nice vid guys!!!

The nunchaku was a farming tool for threshing rice in many countries throughout Asia. Farmers would flail the newly harvested rice to separate the grain from the hull. Okinawan peasants, who were not permitted to have bladed weapons by their Japanese overlords, developed the nunchaku into a weapon of self defense.

i studied Bruce Lee's moves in depth and I gotta say, You explained it way more clear and simply than any others I've seen or read. Bruce Lee made all his techniques very straight forward and simple...the art of no form...he honed his skill beyond the science to an actual art and as Albert Einstein said "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it" so I'd say you understand it better than most. Thanks as always for great content. God Bless

Nunchaku was initially used in Okinawa to harvest grain. Since weapons were illegal, they learned to use everyday tools for self-defense.

I am 6'2 in height,,,18.5 stone and i absolutely hate punching 😂 i would sooner take a punch than give one,,i have psychological issue with my wrists. Back in late 80's aged 13yrs and 12stone fat lol i was forced to transverse a plummel horse by a sadistic pe teacher. I broke right wrist clean and fractured left. Reason i ended up in aikido as opposed striking arts etc. Did doors 13 yrs and prison service 20yrs,,aikido was my go to 👏

Before I learnt martial Arts, I would fight or was forced into a fight almost every week!! But once I trained and learnt from a Master Martial Fighter I have not fought or was forced into a fight since! To this day I still don't understand how trouble finds me but very quickly slows down and backs off by themselves!! I have NEVER told anyone that I am a martial fighter, SO HOW DO THEY KNOW TO CALM DOWN ON THEIR OWN? Better to have and not need than to need and not have.

While Bruce Lee is iconic and a person we might seek to learn from we would be wise to learn from ALL aspects of his life, he was a movie star and knew that appearance was critical in his marketing for films, his business interests and not least personal marketing. He took a huge amount of drugs (legal) to control pain and removed as much excess water from his body as possible to be the man that was so ripped on screen it led to thousands (millions in time) around the world failing to train to the point of his ideals, and be confused why they failed. This is because he did nothing to point out half his appearance was diet & gym while the rest was via a pill. It's the combination of pills that led to his untimely death.

Ha ha, yeah, homemade nunchucks, two bits of broom handle joined with three or four inches of bath plug chain…. My mum was not impressed. 😉 Yes, nunchucks were I believe originally rice flails, like the staff, possibly due to a ban on owning weapons… maybe. 😉

Can we do that 1 inch punch that right there shows you how powerful he was because he was very light I'm heavier than he ever has been and ever will be and when you do that punches somebody lighter than you or the same weight you can see how much power he had because you make people fly very little compared to him and he makes people fly like they're made of like feather or are and when I do it or we do it it's like everybody's made of lead

It's the full flow of the punch compressed within that "one inch", but if you study it (many YT videos) the punch is based in hips, body-swing, fore-arm-muscles-clenching and the flexation of the wrist and hand into a fist. It starts with the open hand, each part from hip to knuckle adds some acceleration and force, also note his legs and feet play a key part as well, right-leg as both pivot and muscle with a push from the straight-left-leg push up from flexing foot. It really is the whole body in motion, like a magician telling you to look at the one-inch is a distraction from his whole body weight + muscle focused into that knuckle moving an innocent inch. Train well Ben. 🦾
