Joint locks are fabulous. Especially since there are many in living beings. Pressure points are fun as well.
Love that choice. Justice doesn't happen in the combat, but it could start there by choosing not to harm, but rather to incapacitate. Thanks for this video.
You two lads are a awesome team.🤔👊👍🙏
This is a wonderful channel, you’re both great to watch and the video style is refreshing.
Azu, I love your videos, Brother. I'm trying to incorporate your moves with some Krav Maga which I'm also learning. Keep them coming, Bro!
Impressive especially with your Philosophy.
Great Eastwood imitation!
It's my understanding that Brit police are generally very well trained in these types of restraints and use them quite effectively on the job. 👮♂ Wish they would require the same of our U.S. police officers ... much more humane than spraying suspects in the face with mace or TASRing them to get them to submit and be under control.
Relative size between the parties as mentioned here brings up an interesting point. There is a prior video in the series demonstrating how Aikidoflow can be used effectively by smaller people against larger attackers. But what about the opposite situation? As a taller, larger person, how would I fare against smaller attackers as far as using the restraints in particular? If the attacker is short enough, there is no way I could pass under their armpit in the process of applying a lock (as shown in this video) from behind, unless maybe I was on my knees. 😕
And later that night he's arrested for Slow motion Assault.😂
👏👏👏👏👏
Man like mr o
imho, Waki gatame is also a good armbar tech to execute in sloppy situations. Is it taught in Aiki-Kai Aikido?
I’m loving this channel ❤❤️❤️ you’ve just got yourself a new subscriber. 😀👍 I just wish I could afford to explore deeper with your online info. I’m poor 😢 lol I appreciate what u disclose for free tho. It’s much appreciated 😀😀😀👍👍👍
Neon shirt man, looks like he's in pain....
Restraining doesn't work if your opponent is not alone and this happens quite often therefore sometimes you have to fight Fire with fire 🔥 🔥

Check out Aikido randori practice, where multiple attackers are used against a single Aikido practitioner.

@@clivearmitage im a former Dayto Ryu Aiki-Jujutsu practitioner so I know this stuff . Unfortunately it works at best in Dojo where nobody wants to hurt you for real . On the street you will get stones even shards of glass under your knees , reckles Aggressors on drugs , darkness , rain , snow, ice and everything between . It will happen without any warning and in a very chaotic way . Generally speaking there will be unpleasant conditions to fight and the opponents will always resisting in some form that's for sure . This is like swimming in warm pool vs swimming with hungry sharks in the open see during the storm

There are definitely some moves I'd never try on the street. I'd be more likely breaking joints, using elbows and knees, and running. Wado Ryu karate and Aikido - beginner at both I've seen people bottled, glassed, head butted, and one one crazy night in Wakefield in the late 80s I saw a guy pushed into and through a plate glass window. Aikido suits me fine

Can’t people twist their wrist back around to get out of that “thank you” hold and attack?
Are you wearing two shirts?

Yes. Check out Aikido Randori.
Hes letting you do this azu. If it were real they would resist. You would not be able to grab them so easily in the first place. And they can get out of it to before you have these locks on.

Wow. It's as if they're doing it slowly like some kind of training/demonstration! I suggest you pop down to your local Aikido dojo and get an introductory lesson. Peas.
Your cameraman needs to either back up a bit or learn to get your hands in frame or all we get is your faces. Nice locks though

Comedy? If you were being restrained by Azu you wouldn't be laughing. He would for thinking it's a joke.

Believe me, the last person laughing will be you 😂👍

What does that mean? Azu restrains but I might accidentally break a person's arm. I don't know my own strength.
