Wow, finally an aikido style that is useful and practical. Wish we had an aikido flow school in Atlanta, Georgia USA. It would be a nice compliment to add to the hard style I studied.

I have urged out dynamic duo to please establish branch school(s) here in the U.S., possibly by having some of their American students in the U.K. return here to do so 🙏.

It's good to practice sensing the headlock as it happens (it's possible) and just slip out. It can be done. If you are too slow, then the headlock escape above is excellent to know.

At my dojo we were taught to apply 3kyō before we get in a headlock, but I don’t think anyone would want to try that on me, because I’m also a black belt judoka and also started karate about 1 year ago. Keep up the good work.

It kind of worries me when we start re-visiting styles of attacks for which techniques were demonstrated earlier on in the series. Has something changed since those earlier videos? Specifically, did it turn out that, under pressure testing, perhaps, those earlier defensive techniques proved to not be that effective? btw, YES, we need many more videos on ground techniques. Possibly bring in someone who is a black belt holder in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to help out in developing those techniques. ? Keep in mind that the whole philosophy of B.J.J. is based on the belief that at least 90% of conflicts will eventually end up with both fighters going to the ground. I don't think this topic has hardly even been scratched in the video series. KEEP ON GROWING, AIKIDOFLOWERS!

Fantastic job and demonstration, you have to act fast and be decisive if you ever find yourself in a headlock the finger one i knew but i completely forgot about pressure points especially the eyes, but of course going for the balls or puss are fair game.

That attack to the eyes is from a headlock popular in Kempo

Most headlocks will be a sneaky attack from the back, because then the accomplished can reach for your pockets, I wish we had had a longer look at that.

If the attacker makes a mistake and gives you back of his leg, why don't use it? And how can an experienced aikidoka get a posture like that? Too many questions 🤔
