This video feels like a misdiagnosis of the real problem. He’s like Superman: too powerful for his stories to have any real weight in fights against anything that isn’t reality shattering. You can write those kinds of stories well, but it also starts to become ridiculous when you reach that point and you really railroad yourself on potential opponents when you hit “I’m faster than time itself” levels of bullshit.

I completely agree with this video. I watch a great ton of movies and I can tell when a movie is good or not. When I watched the movie I couldn't understand the hype,yeah the animation was great,a few jokes here and there were great but mostly the entire movie was badly written. These so called interaction scenes that were supposed to be emtional were cringe asfuck and the characters this time were just straight up terrible. The pregnant afro spider woman riding around in a bike? I mean who came up with that shit? And the indian spiderman was worse coupled with the spider punk. Most jokes were recycled from internet memes. It's a mediocre film with terrible writing, characters amd plot. Into the spiderverse was much much better than this.

I think this is a bit harsh tbh, there was bad writing to *force* the situation but for example with red rush we're shown that omniman can react really fucking fast, and with superman it's shown that the snyderverse speedsters are still affected by forces equally. Barry is slipping and sliding all over the place, superman is sorta gliding but it's still hard to move well. And with red rush, we're shown that he's not actually that fast, besides the comic-book aesthetic, he's basically a low level speedster by speedster standards but his reaction time is just higher.

This is a double-edged sword. You can make these arguments by taking everything super realisticly. I can make the argument that all of these people are still human, and therefore simply having lungs with Aaron them would mean that using their powers should just immediately kill them. Because that's what superspeed would literally do to them. Except for Superman. Reality is none of it's supposed to be realistic, they are supposed to be fast and not infinitely durable and infinitely powerful. Also in reality because they're not supposed to be that durable, and yes I'm aware of how the speed force kind of thing works, the actual recoil from them throwing punches at supersonic speed should just put so much stress on them that they're more than likely to hurt themselves more than whatever they would hit.

Invincible came the closest I think to the problem with speedster powers. If I wrote a speedster they'd be dealing with a lot of trauma mentally from using their powers. Even if they could turn it on and off each desicion to use their powers would be agonizing. If they got bruised theyd feel a few moments of pain for what feels like hours. Their lives would be immensly lonely, even as they are surrounded by people. You dont need bad or unrealistic writing to weaken a speedster

The omniman complaint is stupid. "How could Red Rush get caught by Omniman, he should have seen that grab coming in slow motion." They're _both_ speedsters. You got filtered by the fact that Omniman's feet weren't moving and you forgot that he has FTL movement and reactions. Then bringing up him getting jumped by cyberzombies to 'prove' that he's not a speedster? Did you forget the premise of your own video? Speedsters lose to bad writing. Both the show and the comic show Omniman (and Mark) as both being high-grade speedsters. We literally see Mark doing the exact same sort of 'run across the city and change your clothes quickly' shit that Red Rush does, when he's getting ready for college. Trying to deny that Viltrimites are speedsters is absurd. Therefore every scene where a non-speedster manages to punch a viltrumite in the face is evidence of your original premise, that speedsters are constantly being nerfed by bad writing. Red Rush (a speedster) losing to omniman (another speedster) is not a valid example, however.

Omniman is literally a superman espy. Why do you think that he's not a speedster? He can move from country to country in an instant, with no sonic boom or shockwave. We see Mark (who's MUCH slower than him) basically teleport himself and all of his luggage from his house into his college dorm-room in less time than it takes for his roommate to turn around, and he does this completely silently while also manoeuvring through an open window. Viltrumites are full-bore speedsters. Potentially even faster than Red Rush himself. Frankly, the only bullshit thing in that fightscene was Red Rush being able to hurt Omniman at all. No matter how fast you are, all you'd accomplish by punching him really fast would be destroying your own hands.

It seems like your only gripe with a train is the kimiko scene, and if you were actually paying attention, then you would have saw that the whole scene was in slow motion even for a train. You can look at the scene before which shows him running across the station in slo mo. You can also seen how his body moves up and down much slower than someone running in normal time. Based off of how he bobs up and down, the time kimiko’s hand was in a trains vision barely lasted one step. You also didn’t talk about the lighting. Subway tunnels aren’t exactly the brightest places to be, and the lights are constantly flashing on and off on him cuz he’s running by them. So he was also visually impaired. At least try to be charitable when dealing with speedsters because just assuming the worst will bring you the worst. A train S tier and btw were talking about a train as a speedster not kimiko. If you’re gonna say kimiko is insanely fast because of this scene then that doesn’t affect a train as a consistent speedster, that affects kimiko as a consistent character.

And why would you compare Invincible to Sam Raimi's spider man and Kung Fu Panda? And criticism about Mark: yeah, you have some point, Mark is the strongest person on the planet but we should understand that he is still a teenager. "Boring plotlines" is subjective criticism. But yeah, i would say that Invincible's universe is not so interesting
