Wait a second. Gardeners of the Galaxy 3 needs a compelling character arc? Rocket’s character arc is basically the most important part of the movie. You can say you weren’t compelled by it but it definitely wasn’t underdeveloped. Rocket spends the entire franchise being an invulnerable asshole because of his trauma and abuse. He’s disgusted by what he is and he doesn’t accept any part of himself except his callousness and cruel sense of humor. It’s his way of battling the cruelty that was inflicted on him. But then by the end of the movie he discovers that he can fight cruelty with compassion, and he ends up saving them little bitch ass raccoons 🦝

Isnt the whole point of the canon event idea that Miguel is wrong? The proof literally being Miles He doesnt know what causes the unraveling of the universes but because he couldnt find happiness hes trying to force all the spidermen to endure what he did with these "canon events" a lot of the criticisms are things that are seen or can easily be picked up on the first viewing just say you don't like the movie but putting flash and Shazam above it is jus blasphemy

the thing is that the canon events dot make sense nobody gives a shit if Miguel is wrong, the canon events happen for no reason and there's no logic behind it because spot is the one to cause it in the Indian universe and if spot was created by miles who was created by spot doesn't that mean its a GRANDFATHER PARADOX? Like fuck man its a whole loop because if Miles wasn't created that means spot isn't created that means spot never goes to the Indian universe and causes the event that means the chief is never saved by miles because miles wasn't created in the first place. Therefore grandfather paradox because if one of them doesn't happen the rest don't happen. My point being you think its good because people tell you how to think and your stupid.

6:46 That’s not his entire motivation,he wanted to stop being treated like a joke and was tired to being called a villain of the week.He felt like a outcast and wanted to prove himself that he is more than he appears to be.He parallels Miles in that he learns how to use his powers and gets more skilled,showing the audience he learns from his mistakes and shows the audience that really is not a villain of the week.We even get moments of him when he goes to the collider he actually puts the scientists in holes to protect them,proving he is not just a one-note villain.The Spot is actually more complex then we give him credit for and that’s why he is a good villain.(Yo thanks for the likes guys) Edit:To add on to this,The Spot may have some complex stuff to him but he’s not supposed to be a very complex character or stuff like that,he’s a guy who just wants to prove he can make it big because he was laughed and mocked at by his peers and family without being given a chance.He really is just jealous of Miles because he’s a successful hero because of the spider that he experimented on while he basically got no respect and was turned into a freak who can’t get a job because well life is cruel or what not so that’s why he resorted to stealing.When Spider-Man(Miles)came along and made a fool out of him,which is what further cemented his goal for self validation,his hatred and jealousy of Miles is why he decided to become stronger,so that he can prove to Miles and the world that he is not just a villain of the week but a real threat and he wants to take everything of Miles cause he basically lost his job as a scientist due to being viewed as a freak and failure,his family like he said wouldn’t even look at him anymore,probably because they are embarrassed and disgusted he looks like that,so he wants to put that exact same pain on Miles because of his view that Miles took everything from him,that’s why the Spot said,”You took everything from me,now I’m gonna take everything from you”.That is why Spots motivation furthermore is actually more than meets the eye,or in his case,the spot,but at his core,his motivation really is simple but never the less is effective for a villain.Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

insane flash take. bro what are you on it's actually the worst movie ever barry is one of the worst written characters i've ever seen he changes motivations like every 5 seconds "i can't change the past that's bad" "ok actually i should save the city" "ok actually i realize now, changing the past is bad" "ok i'll change the past to save my dad" plus he is just the absolute worst when it comes to using his powers and the time travel is broken beyond belief. the monster flash dying is impossible because he created himself in a causal loop. his past CANNOT be changed with the system they set up. a system that is completely different from the previous movie where he time traveled btw. also in the final fight the barrys travel back and we see their past selves there ON SCREEN. the movie proceeds to ignore they exist. and saying flash can't save supergirl and keaton is just stupid, there are so many ways they could win. go back further if you need to. and main barry is an awful character for giving up after like 2 tries isn't this guy supposed to be a hero or something. also he totally could have gone back and saw who killed his mom without tampering with anything, which is totally what he would want to do, but he didn't and even ignoring the big stuff the small stuff in the plot is just stupid. the entire movie relies on the store barry's dad went to having only a single camera that's pointed at the tomato isle rather than the entrance. and even if he got the footage, what is that gonna prove? barry's dad still came home before the police arrived so it doesn't prove that he didn't stab her after getting home. and that's even disregarding what the director said (which you can bc death of the author but it's still really funny) which is that barry's mom was killed by reverse flash. barry's dad being home made it so his mom didn't get killed? kek and michael keaton batman retiring bc gotham is safe and being willing to leave supergirl in the cell because it's not clark is insane. what is this character awful movie. terrible movie. none of it works. please reconsider your list i would agree with the rest of it that i've seen but 5/10 for the flash is insane it's an easy 1/10 and should be at the bottom

one of the best "superhero" movies i've watched has to be freaks the pacing is just too good

I respect your opinion and thoughts here, but I feel you might be judging spiderverse a little too early. It isn't the complete story and the conclusion to it is just a few months away. I'm okay with the beginning being much slower paced because i believe this movie was made with the intention that it'll be watched alongside part two as like a sort of one big mega movie. And in a long runtime like that having that slower beginning is fine and can be fitting. I'm not saying you can't judge the movie on it's own, and I'm all for it. I'm just reserving my full opinion until the second half does come out, as I feel a lot of the quality can hinge on it. About some of the plot holes or canon events I think you're taking them at face value a little too seriously and not acknowledging the subtext they serve in this story. It's not to make spiderman the center of everything like some god as you described hyperbolically. I think it's just a plot device used to convey the movie's theme and question if Miles as a character needs the tragedies and sacrifices shown to be considered spiderman. And hopefully you too realize that based on his actions that the answer is no; he doesn't. Overall funny video. I'm kinda curious on your thoughts of the star wars movies, and I hope you do some videos on them.

Aint no way bro said the flash was more entertaining than ATSV, I’m no meat rider for spider verse the whole idea of cannon events is trah and confusing but to say the movie was more boring is crazy and the flash was entertaining 😂 don’t even get me started on the cgi, that was the only entertaining part it was a snooze fest had me bored until the general zodd vs kara fight and it wasn’t even a real fight just her getting killed and flash going back in time over and over again

The movie I would put in S+(the only movie you should watch) is the magnificent Uncle Grandpa Movie. This movie has the best climax ever created, with a powerful McDonald's French Fry-fuled Uncle Grandpa fighting The Queen of Evil, Aunt Grandma in a grandiose and epic thumb war. The ending is also magnificent. When Uncle Grandpa, Pizza Steve and Mr.Gus stare into the stars of the galaxy reflecting on their grand adventure, the obstacles they had to overcome and the inevitable and epic future, makes this the ultimate conclusion for a grand movie. On top of all its grand INCOMPARABLE feats, this movie has ultimately turned into the best movie ever made and certainly destroys The Incredibles in every way.

2023 super hero movies have been a hit or miss. Some where good like GOTG 3 and across the spider verse. But some where complete dogshit like Ant man 3 and the marvels, those movie did very bad in the box office. Just wanted to reassure you about the reddit scientists defending the flash. You weren't having a schizo moment, there really were people trying to mental gymnastic themselves and others about flash being a good movie. They were pretty delusional. Great ranking list dude!, I kinda disagree on your ranking for across the spider verse, because I find it to be a good film but on rewatch it’s really overrated, I felt like what hurted the movie was the whole canon Events plot line, and the pacing. Like how did miles universe not get destroyed or wrapped from reality because miles supposedly disrupted a cannon event, but overall I think it’s a good film But pretty mediocre, and I can handle your opinion on the movie if you don’t like it and find it boring. 👍😊

the only reference I have for judging your choice of putting across the spider-verse below the flash is watching the former and both respective yms reviews and I kinda feel like that's already enough, though obviously it isn't, still very mind boggling to me given how ass that movie looked. As someone who loves a tight, solid script, I really don't get your super objectivist approach to art here, where 90% of your enjoyment depends on how well you can justify the story happening. There's so much more to writing than logistics. You also just gotta feel the movie. And that's not to say any of your criticisms are factually incorrect or something.

Antman sucked because the leads weren't driving their own story. Flash wasnt likeable, he stole A LOT. Plus it would have been cool if the Flash had to stop the building from falling, the car getting away, and protect people from falling debris all by himself. Instead they shoehorned the JLA in. Guardians was funny with how manipulative it was with the cutesy animals being in danger. also, why did the otter still have robot arms in heaven? lol Spiderverse *SUCKED* because spiderman was always just a kid with a good heart who shouldered responsibility, but now there are millions of spider-people and the traumatic event peter went through is just... a rite of passage for spider people? I have to completely agree with him with every movie, especially spider verse, I only got 45 minutes in. And it was extremely boring therefore I didn’t finish it, most movies have boring dialogue and try to push there personal values into the characters with no background knowledge, take the Madolorian for example, really cool characters with lots of potential but he and the baby yoda never got into any relationship therefor his motivation to save him made no sense, he’s supposed to be a cold blooded killer and it’s just dog crap, therefore Andor is peak(you must watch Andor it is amazing character development and analyzation) and every other Star Wars project since CWs7 is garbage

spiderverse 2 is pure garbage
