Loki is the perfect epilogue for the whole MCU. They did everything worth doing with the multiverse concept, they used the most interesting version of Kang, and they gave a cathartic payoff to their longest running antihero. It's the only Marvel show that you really *need* to see.

He’s to R rated to be the face of the entire MCU and knowing Disney if he becomes a fan favorite they’re going to milk the character to the ground or make him PG so he could be more mainstream. Deadpool isn’t enough to save the MCU.

@@ninja8845ify Unfortunately Reynolds focused more on his brand than his actual acting itself so his range is pretty limited outside Deadpool. That’s why his other movies get basically no traction because his roles bundle down to “snarky guy that whispers”. It sucks to because he’s this generations ‘movie star’ but his most popular role is a IP character.

I mean it's a mixed bag kinda like there is with everything. There's still some devout fans who think Marvel can do no wrong and others that think anything past Endgame should'nt exist. Sometimes any criticism you offer gets lumped into outright hatred for the thing you talk about.

Currently I'm completely dissolutioned with the MCU. If they want my trust back they gotta nail Deadpool 3 and Fantastic 4. If those aren't slam dunks on the same level of Guardians 1&2 then I'm outa here for good.

I gotta say guardians of the galaxy volume 3 was an absolute masterpiece and the best highlight of phase 5 seriously I was emotional though out most of the movie the development of rocket raccoon was my favorite part of the movie the sweetest cherry on top ❤😃

Playing MF doom at the Fantastic 4 but was a nice touch ✊🏾

I don't think that's it I think what happened was they had lots of project set up to release from 2020 to 2022 or so but because of covid they couldn't film anything until 2021 causing all the projects to get filmed and shoved out all at once to not cause any issues later on but they ended up causing a different issue in the process

@@RabbiB0YDisney old CEO Bob Chapek did want Marvel to just pump out content because of the success of the series in the past. It caused them to have to rush out projects to meet what Disney wanted. There’s a reason when that CEO left and Iger returned Marvel almost immediately started pumping the breaks and delaying things for years.

If I had a nickel for every youtube video I've watched today that referenced the Phineas and Ferb nickel joke, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

5:53 One minuscule critique of the movie is the Guardians not reacting to the death of millions of inhabitants on mirror Earth. I didn't really think of it like that when I first watched the movie until a KZreadr pointed it out. Still, it's a nitpick because it can be explained away by the Guardians being rushed and distracted by the High Evolutionary. The KZreadr even showed clips of the Guardians rushing, and I pointed that out.

Anyone who is able to give a balanced take on the Marvels is an automatic follow for me!

I think after endgame they should've gone the Toho Godzilla route and waited about a decade before making more superhero content. Toho held that philosophy to avoid godzilla fatigue in Japanese audiences. But ofc Disney is always trying to find the easiest way into your wallet.

I was wondering if you were going to bring up X-Men 97. It is amazing. Marvel is submitting Episode 5, “Remember It” for consideration for an Emmy in animation.

I don't think bringing the Fantastic Four into the MCU needs to be that complicated. They went into space in the 60's. Time moves slower in space, like we've all seen in Interstellar. They get their powers, they come back to Earth. For them, they've been gone for like 6 months, but on Earth they've been gone for 50 years.

The MCU at large ended in Endgame, and Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy gave it a few victory laps, but we're at a point where no one really cares anymore. Kinda sad to see em end on a whimper like this.

I was scared because of the clickbait title but damn one of the most level headed videos I've ever seen when it comes to marvel. you were spot on in regards to basically everything. weird how marvel seems to be struggling right now when it shouldn't have been _that_ hard to just keep doing what they were doing before. I also loved that you went project by project and gave marvel their flowers when needed. you gotta give credit where it's due and I think you really did that. no not _everything_ post-endgame is bad, there really is a lot of good to be found in phase 4 and 5 you just gotta focus on the best projects. gone were the days where you could confidently watch a marvel project knowing it would be of a certain quality, you just have to do a little research beforehand to separate the good, the bad and the mid. in before "marvel hire this man" comments. but yeah, marvel, hire this man. edit: yeah man after looking over at some of the other comments maybe you should change the title of the video because it's giving people a bad impression. to be fair most of the negative comments are people who haven't even seen the video and are just commenting based on the title, but still it isn't really nice having a comment section like that. or don't do anything since this seems to be your most popular video so far. :P

Just to be clear I didn't mean to be rude or anything, I was just noticing that many people were misinterpreting the video in the comments. although like I said before the video itself is *gold* and genuinely one of the best videos about marvel right now, surprisingly nuanced and you're a really good at entertaining (video is long but I didn't even notice!). edit: the negativity towards marvel can be a bit exhausting, like yeah they're in a _really_ tough spot right now but let's not forget that bangers like gotg vol.3 and loki season 2, they're still part of phase 5 weather we like it or not (or weather we _conveniently_ forget they exist when talking about phase 5 to paint a doomeristic picture of marvel (I've seen many a youtuber do this and it's _infuriating_, thank you for not doing it)).

I was done, the moment they shat on Jonathan Majors, I was done. Loki was great and I even had a moment of surprised watching ant man 2 and realizing finally what they were building to after watching loki but then the bullshit happened. Fuck disney and marvel for real.

I didn't wanna be the guy to defend disney of all things but here we are. look, it would've been a PR *nightmare* if they kept him. at this point it doesn't _really_ matter what he did or didn't do, the only thing that matters is that the general public doesn't really look into these kinds of stories they just read "jonathan majors is on trial" and most people immediately assume he's "shady". even if he was declared innocent (which he wasn't) people would associate him with the trial for the foreseeable future and every news outlet would be trying to interview him like crazy to try to get him to say something or slip up. hollywood is a tough business and the moment you become a PR storm you're a liability more than anything. they drop you not because of what you did but simply because it would be too much of a hassle to keep you. it just isn't worth it considering the online shitstorm and the possibility of lost ticket sales for having a "controversial actor".

I think PPL tend to forget a very important detail. Even if all these films I mentioned were objectively mid , they all had a connecting through line. Either have a movie which is so well written that PPL forget for a while that this is a part of a larger universe, or at least pay off the events if the movie in the next 2 yrs so that ppl don't stop caring about the characters

Funny thing is, Phase 4 is longer than the other 3 previous phases combined, and what have they done with all that time? Nothing, bc the main villain is introduced in phase 5

I haven't seen any MCU content since Endgame. But if they release Blade I'll definitely check that out! I'm just content with what they put out and the comics. I'm tempted to check out Loki though

Stopping here at 17:42 to say I too was iffy on season 1 of what if. But season 2 is great, gotta give it a try. I feel they really found their footing with the interweaved “anthology route” they’re going

I think the future of the MCU could be even better than phase 1-3 considering that they can now use the X-men and daredevil. Also people that say the MCU is mid right now but in 2013 we got Thor 2 and iron man 3 which I like iron man 3 but a lot of people hate it.

DareDevil is my FAVORITE MCU character! I was 6-7 years old when it came out (I thought I was younger). “I missed!? I never miss!” Bullseye was the dopest bad guy to me! That scene still plays in my head 20 years later.

The biggest issue with the MCU is understanding the audience. They’re trying to make something for everyone but still trying to make it likeable to the GA so everything is hella half baked. They’re scared to push the envelope even a little bit.

The last 2 good MCU projects was Loki and Gaurdians Vol 3.

I respect the take on the marvels but I feel like captain marvel 1 and Ms marvel had more going on for the writing and even performances from the cast overall, it just feels like something a kid on pain meds would cook up lol, but I agree with most the other stuff, really well made video man keep it up

X-men in 90s and the return of it, I can’t get into it. The animation sucks. Superman cartoon in the 40s has better animation.

I loved Majors as Kang and when MCU canned him so was done. I was watching anything after endgame, but wanted to see this for some reason and I loved it. Now I don’t care anymore

i'm ngl i'm still not ok with the silver surfer switch (i don't hate women) i just wish they wouldn't try so hard to be different from roles that came before it, it doesn't help any of the casual mcu fans because once they delve into that character, it won't be the mcuified version they seen and longtime comic accuracy fans (like me) aren't really going to want to see this blatant pander rendition of a character, even if it's coming from a "alternate universe." i wish they would just adapt things and tell good stories with it, and not try to do everything BUT make a good story to get people in seats
