Hi mate got the same bike ,also had an issue with the cruise control,turns out it was a faulty electrical switch below the front brake lever, had to order a new switch from Japan as i live in Australia,eta for switch 6 weeks, all good now , love the informative videos

Hi Dan hope you are well , yeah had an Issue with my Cc, Dealer failed to fix the problem they had the bike for a week, turns out i had a faulty front Brake lever Electrical Switch, ordered a new 1 from Japan, all Good now .

My CC icon flashed 3 times after I adjusted the rear brake pedal. I lowered so much that the rear brake light stayed on...tricking my CC into thinking I was braking. Had to bring it back up to stock level. Same thing happened on my KLR...had to stretch the spring that enables the brake light. Ill try the same on the GT cuz I liked the rear pedal being lower.

To be honest I don’t see the appeal of the Hayabusa 🤷♂️ I’m sure it’s plenty fast in a straight line, but as a European tourer it doesn’t even have panniers, and as we age I’m less inclined to hop aboard a sports bike for long journeys. I believe the GT is probably a better option for long European tours compared to the Hayabusa, and the GX probably even more comfortable than the GT. I’m into my third year of GT ownership and have a European tour planned for end of June, so when I get back I’ll be investigating the GX offering and taking it for a test ride. If the Kawasaki Verys wasn’t so heavy I’d probably investigate that too.

I was the same with sportsbikes, they’ve become too uncomfortable for my podgy 50 year old frame. I’m currently riding sports tourer Suzuki GT and thinking of changing to something even more comfortable next year (GX or similar). Hopefully you manage to create a few videos of your tour later this year. I’ve got a two week bike tour booked to Switzerland and Italy in Summer with my mates and can’t wait! The sound quality of this video was really good. Which camera and microphone setup are you using? Keep up the good work 👍

If you're interested, lookup the address of your insurance agent's residence and it's market value. You may be surprised. The city council of the city I live in had their annual salaries posted online. Most were modest with a couple around $500,000. One in particular stood way out. His annual salary was $1,000,000. His profession (drum roll)---- insurance agent.

A little story about Suzuki motorcycles ,yes my new suzuki gsxs 1000 gt 2023 ! it developed a knocking in the crank area at 1500 klm dealer in west australia perth said carry on riding and let it develop !! at 6000 klm still the same knocking so changed the cam chain and tensioner but still the same knocking ? a sound video was sent to Suzuki and nothing was done and they refused to do anything ?? I had been with this dealer and Suzuki for 20 years and they let me down badly ,they left me with a worthlessmachine and I was very sick at the time so sold it back to the dealer at a $5000 loss !!!! so dealer and Suzuki lost a very good customer and neither gave a HOOT rgds .

insurance is a bad subject with us trying to insure my lad on a 2005 1.4 polo they want £4500 for a year its a piss take, but remember the world economic forum agenda 2030 ,, "you will own nothing and be happy" ,, they still cant bring in fully driverless cars with bikes on the road, you cant put auto speed restrictors onto bikes in case a 20 limit starts on a corner,, they want us all in little electric cars that they can control stuck in your 15 minute zone

I pay roughly £150 on my Panigale Tricolour which I've had from new, bourght a 22 non Sp Blade last year which Cost £750 to insure, which is to much but being now in my 50's & in my twilight yrs of riding sports bike i thought " What the hell". Was thinking about replacing the Blade for a new Panigale R, but couldn't get any quotes.

My car went up 3x times from previous year (20 years zero claims). I found an alternative car quote. Not seen a bike renewal yet, but it's not just bikes being ripped off. We lost a lot of Underwriters when we left the EU, what's left in the UK is sniffing blood in the water.

How do’s mate, much better audio than last time (I couldn’t watch the last video all the way through due to audio as I watch on to with a massive surround sound system). I’ve had audio issues with my GoPro 10, so I just stopped using and am thinking of getting an insta360 Go as a replacement. Which gloves are you using (I could tell they’re heated)? I’ve had Gerbing gloves in the past and they were great, but stopped working after 5 years daily use. My mate recently had his insurance renewal come through and was in for a shocker too when it almost doubled to £800 (he’s 48). I’m 50 and my insurance is generally around the £450 mark for 3,000 miles per year…my insurance is up for renewal in June and I’m extremely worried after what I’ve heard from my mate and you. As for the Suzuki GT, I’m into my third year of ownership and thinking what I can get next. I’ve been looking at the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX as I enjoy touring and do most of my miles on the continent (about 2,000 miles of my 3,000 annual miles), however I prefer the looks of the Suzuki. I’ve even considered swapping to the new Suzuki GX but people have said not to bother if I’ve already got the GT. The only thing I don’t like about the Suzuki GT is the buzzing through the handlebars at motorway speeds resulting in numb fingers when doing a long stretch on tour to get to a destination. Keep up the good work and keep those videos coming!

Very king thank you….. gloves are Keis, they come with lifetime guarantee. If heard others saying about buzzing in the handlebar but I’ve not experienced that, are you running stock tyres? I’m running road 6’s. Not a fan of the Kawasaki 1000SX my friend had one and it’s not as nice as the GT.

@@bikemaddan9311 I ordered a set of Keis short cuff gloves and the quality looks impressive - just need to test them. As for tyres, I changed mine to Michelin Pilot Road 6 as I do touring on the continent and need a tyre that’s good in the wet, however I kept the standard 50 profile on the rear so there’s an opportunity to change it out for a 55 profile when its worn out.

Sorry to hear you lost all your GoPro footage. I’ve had major issues with my GoPro, specifically the unit randomly switching microphones, which resulted in plenty wasted footage. So I’ve decided to replace my GoPro and because I use an Insta360 Go 2 for snowboarding, I’ll probably purchase the Insta360 regular action camera too.

Pointless hanging on to a 125 when you’ve got litre bikes to play with. In the past, when I’ve been fortunate enough, I’ve had 3 bikes in my garage; a sportsbike for quick rides and track days, a classic 80’s bike for local pootling, and a commuter for work. These days less is more, so I’m currently down to owning just the Suzuki GT but am contemplating replacing it with the new GX. Decisions, decisions 🤔

The cruise control will turn off automatically by system error message. For example, engine light on, TCS is working, and gas station light blinking when your fuel tank going empty.

my GT cruise control has been like that since i first got the bike, ODO 14k km now, the cruise control behaves exactly like yours from time to time. keep flashing and wont let you turn on. Only work around is turn off and on the bike to reset.

@@bikemaddan9311 Hey, I said the same thing to myself. Because my friend's BMW resumes the set speed after a short (or long) stop at a red light. And also, sometimes I have the same problem as you: I have to restart the engine to activate cruise control. But it's very rare tbh

@jrjohnny6734 once on the move again the from a long stop you have to be in at least 2nd gear and above 3000rpm before cc will engage. Also if your cc is intermittent I would get the rear break switch replaced or adjusted under warranty.

I had a similar issue with my GSX-S1000 GT. it was the wires going to the clutch handle. I adjusted the clutch handle and it put the wires in a bind. once I moved the handle back a bit the cruise control started working again.

had a similar issue. my Cruise control worked great, road it to a mechanic to look at a NOISE issue when starting. as he was looking he noticed the clutch handle was loose. he tightened it for me. after i left the cruise control would NOT stay on. when I got home I checked out the wiring.I didn't find anything. I noticed the clutch handle was a little to high up for me. and I moved it down a bit,,,and now the cruise control works fine. I'm guessing the handle had a wire in a bind.

The only thing I don’t like about the Suzuki GT is the buzzing through the handlebars at motorway speeds resulting in numb fingers when doing a long stretch on tour to get to a destination. Keep up the good work and keep those videos coming!
Very king thank you….. gloves are Keis, they come with lifetime guarantee. If heard others saying about buzzing in the handlebar but I’ve not experienced that, are you running stock tyres? I’m running road 6’s. Not a fan of the Kawasaki 1000SX my friend had one and it’s not as nice as the GT.
@@bikemaddan9311 I ordered a set of Keis short cuff gloves and the quality looks impressive - just need to test them. As for tyres, I changed mine to Michelin Pilot Road 6 as I do touring on the continent and need a tyre that’s good in the wet, however I kept the standard 50 profile on the rear so there’s an opportunity to change it out for a 55 profile when its worn out.
@Paulie44 nice gloves that keep hands at a steady temperature, I still have heated grips as well as I like to feel toasty!!! You’ll be amazed how good a 55 rear feels 👍🏼
My insurance trippled on my s1000gt after going from a GSR750. They also have me down as having 2 GSR750s when i had one, probably why its gone up. £300/£900
That’s ridiculous, I honestly think the government need to get involved and cap this sort of thing like Gas/electricity bills etc

Sorry to hear you lost all your GoPro footage. I’ve had major issues with my GoPro, specifically the unit randomly switching microphones, which resulted in plenty wasted footage. So I’ve decided to replace my GoPro and because I use an Insta360 Go 2 for snowboarding, I’ll probably purchase the Insta360 regular action camera too.

Pointless hanging on to a 125 when you’ve got litre bikes to play with. In the past, when I’ve been fortunate enough, I’ve had 3 bikes in my garage; a sportsbike for quick rides and track days, a classic 80’s bike for local pootling, and a commuter for work. These days less is more, so I’m currently down to owning just the Suzuki GT but am contemplating replacing it with the new GX. Decisions, decisions 🤔
Yeah I was toying with the GX but after sitting on it it didn’t make me smile
The cruise control will turn off automatically by system error message. For example, engine light on, TCS is working, and gas station light blinking when your fuel tank going empty.
Speak to your dealer, they should be aware of the cc issues globally

my GT cruise control has been like that since i first got the bike, ODO 14k km now, the cruise control behaves exactly like yours from time to time. keep flashing and wont let you turn on. Only work around is turn off and on the bike to reset.

I was looking at the busa but I got the GT The. Gen 4 is out 2025 may have a look at what that's like I'm putting a RK ZX Sports chain in the GT maybe that will help with the quick shifter I think cheap / standard chains don't run well

Hello, does the "resume" button work after a stop (traffic light)? It doesn't record the speed when I stop. I wanted to know if this was the case for everyone.
As far as I know it should unless ignition is switched off, I’m out on mine to tomorrow so I’ll check and let you know
@@bikemaddan9311 Hey, I said the same thing to myself. Because my friend's BMW resumes the set speed after a short (or long) stop at a red light. And also, sometimes I have the same problem as you: I have to restart the engine to activate cruise control. But it's very rare tbh
@jrjohnny6734 once on the move again the from a long stop you have to be in at least 2nd gear and above 3000rpm before cc will engage. Also if your cc is intermittent I would get the rear break switch replaced or adjusted under warranty.

I had a similar issue with my GSX-S1000 GT. it was the wires going to the clutch handle. I adjusted the clutch handle and it put the wires in a bind. once I moved the handle back a bit the cruise control started working again.
had a similar issue. my Cruise control worked great, road it to a mechanic to look at a NOISE issue when starting. as he was looking he noticed the clutch handle was loose. he tightened it for me. after i left the cruise control would NOT stay on. when I got home I checked out the wiring.I didn't find anything. I noticed the clutch handle was a little to high up for me. and I moved it down a bit,,,and now the cruise control works fine. I'm guessing the handle had a wire in a bind.
