Hi mate got the same bike ,also had an issue with the cruise control,turns out it was a faulty electrical switch below the front brake lever, had to order a new switch from Japan as i live in Australia,eta for switch 6 weeks, all good now , love the informative videos

Hey mate. You may have got it sorted already but I've been having similar temperamental cruise control issues with mine. Spoke to Suzuki New Zealand today and they issued a service bulletin about a rear brake spring not being in spec and needing to be replaced to resolve the issue. They're swamped here so I haven't had mine looked at yet, but the dealer noted that Suzuki is only doing the service if someone brings it up as an issue (my guess is that they don't need to do a recall, and only some springs are faulty). if you haven't had it fixed yet and heard nothing from Suzuki, maybe give them a buzz and see what they say! I'll try and remember to come back after mine gets updated to see if it fixes the issue permanently. Hoping to get it done before a big trip at the end of Feb.

Picked mine up today. Cruise control works fine.

I had a similar issue with my GSX-S1000 GT. it was the wires going to the clutch handle. I adjusted the clutch handle and it put the wires in a bind. once I moved the handle back a bit the cruise control started working again.

Hi sorry to hear about your cruise control issues hope they get resolved I have done 750 miles on mine now its a great bike but two things are not good Front brakes no feeing what so ever seat after 100 miles is terrible I am getting a gel seat pad fitted because its so poor engine is superb tyres are adequate at best

Breaks have never been there strong point, apparently decent pads make a difference. I thought the seat was comfortable but then again I’m used to riding a CB1000r cafè

I have a 2020 VSTROM 1050 . I have no problem on my VStrom turning on my cruise control at speed. I can just engage it whenever . I don’t have to turn it on when I start my ride it seems ridiculous ,you have to turn on cruise control before you set off . I do aGSXS 1000 GT+ on order.

Hello mate , I have the same bike as yourself . Mine works fine following the same procedure as you . So there is definitely a fault . I hope this info helps you get the problem sorted .

Excellent news, I’ve sent on to dealers

I have no idea what the problem is. I have a new Gen 3 Hayabusa and it’s CC is perfect. Also the heated grips cable doesn’t bother me in the slightest, having owned 5 BMW’s without a cable, I think the cable looks a bit ‘techi’

I hope Suzuki gets the cruise control issue straightened out....I'm not sure i'd accept the bike if that quirk isn't fixed.....On a side note , are the cooling fans very loud? It's a nit picking thing, but loud cooling fans annoy me....I had a kawasaki concours and when the fans came on it sounded like a jet taking off.....

Apologies if you said it and I missed it, but have you successfully connected your phone to MySPIN yet? How is that working?

Silly question but have you tried holding the button down for a few seconds? as i don't remember having this issue on a test ride 🤔. One other thing it's not some sort of way of stopping you holding the revs whilst running in 🤷‍♂️

Hi Ian, yes I’ve tried holding the button down for a few seconds but nothing happens, maybe something in the running in mode, dealership know my issue and haven’t mentioned that though

Hi picked my bike up Thursday and the cruise control works great i can switch it on on the fly by simply pressing the activation button and then press the set button. There is obviously something wrong with your bike

Before watching the video, press like and watch it. This is South Korea! I'm on the s1000f and I'm about to change to s1000gt. I think it's comfortable to drive long distances, do you feel that way?

hi Louis here I own the same bike what to do is turn on the cruise control when you set off green light on then press the lower button on the cruise control to set the cruise speed then to increase press the upper button you dont have to use the throttle you can turn it on from a stand still it wont set a speed till you press the lower cruise button

Hi louis, that’s my point you shouldn’t have to press the cc button every time you set off, should be able to press it half hour in to your journey and it should stay lit…… if you don’t press the button at the start and try later does it work? If not then yours isn’t working properly either, Suzuki have confirmed it should just come on whenever you press it a as nd not just at the start

Any update on this please? I test ride one today and I’m going to buy it. But when I left I said the cruise control wouldn’t work so please take a look, exactly the same as your video shows. Did anyone find a fix ? … thanks

Hi, yes fixed , rear break switch faulty, Suzuki are aware of the issue , some just need adjusting

Majority of the 17 bikes I’ve had have been black it’s a thing ,, ,

The cruise control will turn off automatically by system error message. For example, engine light on, TCS is working, and gas station light blinking when your fuel tank going empty.

Speak to your dealer, they should be aware of the cc issues globally

HI mate, I have the same problem with mine, but its not every time, if I stop and turn the bike off and back on it does work, I will report it to Suzuki, everyone who has this problem needs to report it

@@xsillybuggerx that’s annoying, I was hoping it was gonna be a break sensor or something but I’m guessing it’s a software issue, mines booked in for next Saturday but it’s been fine and working last three days 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@bikemaddan9311 lets see what happens, if its a software thing I doubt it will go away on its own and other owners with the problem will start to pop up, it is an annoying fault and I would like to see mine fixed at some point , I'll get in contact with Suzuki GB and report it and take it from there :)

Totally illogical and makes no sense at all. My question to Suzuki would be..."Why have you done this and for what reason/Justification." I Get mine on Thursday all being well, and will be emailing Suzuki UK if mine is the same. With regards the number plate, i have a private plate (No year) and i am putting that on straight away, saves admin charges from my insurers, so slightly different reasons. But if i was you I'd slap it on, job done.
