    can you tell how much it consumes fuel riding on highway around 120-140 kmh? and how much it comsumes in city?

    I know that no one will probably read my message but I had a 2018 ninja 650 and the throttle DID NOT have any play in the throttle. Once the slack was taken up it would give it way too much fuel and that was the thing that actually ended up causing me to sell it. It would gun up too fast with even the smallest throttle input and would engine brake too hard when off the throttle. Happily upgraded to a Z900 and it is way smoother to ride.

    I don’t think it would be at all. I’m 5’11 at 190 and I don’t feel to big on the bike. Best thing is to sit on one and if you feel comfortable then go for it. If you want something maybe taller there is the Verseys 650. Same engine and everything. It may give you extra room

    Hey man thanks for the video now I’ve narrowed down my options to ninja 500 se abs for 6400$ or ninja 650 for 8200 but no abs I wouldn’t get one if it did bc its 8900 what should I get

  • @CityNinja650
    @CityNinja6506 күн бұрын

    @@rileylofin7653 I wouldn’t go with the more expensive 650 either. Some might argue that it’s important to have abs for a new rider but I don’t think it’s a make or break. As far as which one to get also keep in mind Insurance if money is a major concern. Me personally I’m keeping my 650 for life. I love the bike but a lot of people sell them to upgrade after a while. Resale value and overall resell ability is something to consider as well. Like you can sell a 650 to a beginner, intermediate and advanced rider. Can’t really do that with a 400. Only new riders and people wanting a track bike will go for them. Idk if the 500 would be the same or not. Honestly (personally)between the 500 and 650 I would go with the 650. After all this time in the bike I’m not bored. I do want more power sometimes but that’s just me being greedy. I feel with a 400 or 500 I would feel that a lot more. Also consider where you live. I live close to Pittsburgh and have all kinds of riding situations. City, highway, interstate, farm roads. For the interstate I wouldn’t wanna be on anything less then a 650. And that’s extensive time on it too. Not just getting on and off. I do long trips where I’m on it for 5 hrs and I definitely wouldn’t wanna do that for long. If did a video about buying a first bike where I bring a lot of this stuff up. Might be of some value to you. Let me know if you need any more info

    Hey Matthew! Great video. I recently upgraded my T32s to the Road 6s and I can confidently say they are the best tires I've ever had. They increased my confidence in cornering significantly and they are supposed to be tops in the wet.. They do cost a bit more but I believe they're worth it. Plus they are supposed to go at least 10K miles provided one keeps them properly inflated. I run 36/42 front/rear. Also, have you been maintaining your chain? It might be time to replace that as well. My dealer tells me that 15K is about the typical life of a properly cleaned/lubricated/tensioned chain. Also, check your sprockets for wear; most people change these with a new chain too. Steve from S. Oregon.

    I just bought a new 2024 Indian Scout Rogue Sixty … like you, I have ZERO experience on 2wheels outside of my bicycle. I haven’t even taken my course yet. (I take mine end of July). I do have some experience with clutch bc my first couple of cars were stick, but that was 20 years ago. The familiarity still remains though. I had it delivered, and I’ve had it for 2 days now. I’ve been practicing with friction zone and walking the bike forwards/backwards but nothing faster than 5mph. I need to take it to the road to go fast enough to lift my feet and practice shifting, but I’m still scared sh!tle$$ … I still haven’t left my driveway. 😂 Like you said, at some point though I just have to do it. The performance is close enough, and for me, the insurance was a bit cheaper (buy that is so person specific, that doesn't mean much). It depends on how you use your bike, of course.
