Nice tips! An empty parking lot is a good place to learn. I use the front brake the most too. Harder braking on a straight path is safest. Downshifting can help engine braking too. The figure-8 DMV M test was the biggest challenge, but easy enough on a tiny Ninja 250 back in the early 2000s. Passed with no foot down. A larger Cruiser bike would be really tough doing a figure 8 I'd say, with all the extra weight at over 600-1000 lbs.

Yea that would definitely be challenging with a big bike like that. This season I wanna do a lot more parking lot drills. Maybe some videos too. Especially with the start of a new season
As always, fantastic video. I agree, you can 100% learn to ride through videos. I am self taught through reading materials, as well as hours and hours of youtube videos before even buying my bike. Living in New England, we don't have MSF courses available in the winter, and I was too enthusiastic (and stubborn) to wait until spring. Now I can ride in any traffic situation comfortably as well as safely. Videos can teach you just as much, as well as beyond, what you'll learn at an MSF course (though I still recommend the course in addition to an MSF course). Extremely well put together video.

That’s what’s up. I got mine the very last class Fall 22. I learned everything from KZread as well. It really is a great tool to use. It’s funny, I’m editing a video now and I bring that up again lol. It was filmed last fall tho lol. But still is true. Lot of good ones out there. Dan Dan the fire man, Canyon chasers has really good videos for more technical riding, moto jitsu. All are really helpful. Thank you for the comment. Always appreciated 🏍️
