  Absorbing enough radiation to cause blisters is almost a guaranteed death sentence. In the real world your body would slowly shut down from radiation poisoning. Probably the absolute worst way to die as your skin falls off and organs fail.

  If time was actually moving faster on the beach, then their subjective experience of it would move faster too. The rest of the world would seem frozen to them. There's a movie called Time Tunnel where the opposite situation happens in a cave system, in which time moves extremely slowly inside. The deeper they go, they meet cowboys, conquistadors, and cavemen. Anyway, the beach seems to only speed up metabolic and biological functions, which is weird. I find it more likely that the baby starved to death than that it died from lack of attention as they speculated. It wouldn't miss being held since subjective time passes normally, but it would have had immense metabolic needs in that time which had no chance of being met (also Kara would have needed to eat a lot more food as it grew than she did). I also think this is the reason there are no fish or plants, and the coconut plan wouldn't work. The soil would be instantly depleted with no chance to replenish its nutrients as the trees tried to grow.

  Drink the base amount you need. Do not drink over. Please, people need to stop JUST saying 'ration water'. Drink atleast 6 oz. If you start suffering from lightheadedness, weakness, and other such terrible affects from dehydration, DRINK NOW. Find more later. There may be a difference between 'Good and bad rationing', but when people just say 'ration water' without explaining it, it kinda leads to it. Remember, Drink what you need now, find more later. keep yourself cool, when you're not doing anything, don't waste energy. Wear less layers when affordable.
