Surely the better strategy to make the little girl cry would have been to just trip her up so she falls over. You could easily play that off as an accident by helping her up and comforting her, apologising and asking where her parents are etc.

Just offer it as a challenge to one of the groups of families. First kid to cry gets $100. Even better if you have the money at hand to show them. You'll get some funny looks, but someone will take you up on the offer.

or simply run pass them and "accidentally" push him to the ground, then you can apologize to the parents with an excuse like some family member being at the hospital or something

that whole kid thing, just literally run and bump into a kid and act like it's an accident. that would not only make you look clumsy, but also lower the risk of a parent punching you in the face.

That ending pissed me off all of that just to give up the money 💀

If he was going to disqualify himself in the end anyway, he should've just quit before he had to kill his brother. Once he'd already had to do all the challenges he may as well just accept the winnings and bide his time. Once it had been long enough that the money was spent, or it wouldn't be obviously connected, then he could've sought revenge.

If he doesn't kill his brother they both go to jail for life. The detective destroyed all evidence as a part of initially winning the game so at least one of them gets to live freely.

@@BloodDraek Destroying evidence only apply if he wins the game, not being disqualified. Everything he did was recorded, you can bet they'll use that to make him disappear in jail. And based on how morally upright he was during the challenges, even I wouldn't trust him to keep his mouth shut, so now that he's disqualified and not a winner, they have no obligation to let him live. All they need to do now is a botched surgery in the hospital, maybe stack the medical bill on his fiance, and force her or her family members to be the next players.

Shooting the cop in the end was the dumbest thing and such a bad ending. After going through all that, making the money to set up your family for life, and facing no repercussions, why on earth would anyone throw it all away to shoot someone who had no real role in the game? They lived up to their end of the deal and the loss of the father and brother wasn’t really that bad considering the father’s admission and that the brother was actively trying to kill him. He probably made around $3 million all together which is enough that he and his wife can live an amazing life and provide everything for their children. And honestly, what did he really have to do for that money? Sure, it was stressful, scary, and possibly traumatic, but the only people he actually hurt were the bully, who was a willing participant, the bully’s brother, which he did voluntarily, and his brother, who would have killed him had he not done it. Other than those three people, he didn’t hurt anyone, ruin anyone’s life, or do anything truly awful. At the end, having the ability to live a great life with you wife and children is worth everything that he did…so why throw it away for no reason? Why even seek revenge when you chose to play and got everything that was promised? He should have just gone home, told his wife he won some lottery or had a huge night at a casino, moved away, and enjoyed the rest of his life. He already did what he did, so spend some of the money on therapy and enjoy the life that you went through hell to get. “The best revenge is a life well lived.” - George Herbert, 1640.

Exactly this! He went through all that just to essentially turn down the money and assurance that they'd cover up his crimes for no reason. That annoyed me. Shooting the cop and being disqualifiedfrom 5.7 million dollars that was officially his, was the dumbest move he could have made.

This is where a lot of people end up losing not only sympathy points, but they’re lives and any justification for doing anything that they’re gonna do that’s fucked up. You have $4600, and you didn’t have that before. You have a job, so you know you can earn income. You have $4600 that you did not have the day before so even when you pay off your girls credit cards you can now have that credit available to use to buy things that you need, and another thousand dollars to keep yourself a float for a while. But once you start getting greedy and going for millions, you should know that shit is going to get even more fucked up than you could even imagine. And the money you get won’t even be fucking worth it because your life’s gonna be absolute turmoil.

The challenge with the kid could be solved waaaay easier. He could have gone in the direction of the girl, spills a drink over her and starting to appologize instantly and make it look like an accident. I am pretty sure a small child starts to cry and the parents will be pissed, but they wont attack you.

He could’ve literally walked to the lady with the carriage and ask to see the baby and all he would have to do is make any sudden sound, I think that’s the least damaging option

12:25 I was 4 Y.O when my parents told me santa claus brought me a present. I told them "santa claus isn't real and them i explained about all reasons it would be impossible for that to be real..." My brother was 3 Y.O just by side, he looked a little confuse, so my parents tried to talk to him right after that and praised me for that.

I loved all the cultural references, they have given a complete different perception of what was happening in the movie

the 2 things that would have me not play was them calling immediately after killing the fly then again when he's at home saying the money is in his bank account since that means at the minimum they have cameras in his car and home or are following him which says he is being targeted.

The 3rd challenge would be the dip time because it shows both how much more money will be paid and the severity of the challenges. You could even say the first two were reason enough not to continue because they involved minor versions of terrible things, killing on command and hurting yourself on command.

literally the first thing that popped into my head for the make a little kid cry challenge was to go tell a kid santa/easter bunny/tooth fairy isn’t real. almost 100% guaranteed waterworks

for making the kid upset in the third challenge i would suggest him to 'accidently' make a kid fall and say sorry to the parents

The most disturbing thing to me would be that they are able to see everything Elliott does no matter where he is. No reasonable human beeing would be taking part in this.

For the 3rd challange you can get a ball and kick it to the kids, that wouldnt injure them, but young ones would cry, while make it an accident.

Reminds me of The King's Game. Nobody knows who thr king is, but for every task followed the whole class receives confirmation. The difference between this movie and The King's Game is one is in Japan and this in the western world. The King's Game isn't played for money and it's all highschool students, but the challenges get more and more deadly with consequences of being completely erased from history and other people's minds except the students themselves.

I'd quit after the first 2 because any game that says you have to complete all 11 tasks or lose everything means they would have 5-6 super easy tasks 2-3 hard 1 really hard and 1 task that you would never do.
