She died for the same reason as Pig: inability to cooperate. As for it being unfair for her to be there at all, yes. But I think that's the point of the movie. No matter what negative thing you've done from something as trivial as saying something stupid and mean to committing genocide, it's all the same in the eyes of the public. But the plan does indeed need for at least the majority of participants to not be wannabe murderers. If most of them don’t care, then the plan fails. But if most don’t want to be murderers, then it’s pretty easy to know who didn’t vote on their right and let the majority kill them on the next round

Wolf Mask had learned the most following his sin. Whether or not it really was in self defense that he beat the crap out of someone, he tried his best to save the rest of those ingrates. So it's really ironic they are calling him a hypocrite when they are still acting selfish. He only killed someone as a last resort at the very end of this movie, and all things considered, he had the most right to be angry. It's actually pretty tragic, but it seems that he was spared in some versions after all. Thank goodness... Wait, the English version had him voiced by Zuko's actor? Huh, strangely fitting.

The best strategy is to have everyone stand together and look at the screen as they vote one by one. Then everyone can see exactly who is voting for who, therefore they can be sure they all vote for themselves. The last person to vote would have the power to kill anyone, but they'd have no reason to because they'd already know they were safe. I feel like letting them move around the room broke the game.

This could still work even if they still were stuck to the table, they would still be able to see their neighbors’ screens. The only difference is that you would want to start at the sides of the table since Wolf and Fox will have the fewest eyes on them.

Very true, wonder why OP didn't call that out. If she had just kept her trap shut, everybody but the person who voted for her would have thought everybody stuck to the deal and she would be relatively safe for the next round, because the group would probably decide to repeat the procedure (also, if she used her brains she could already make a very good guess that the vote for her probably came from the guy she voted for, since this is much more likely than more than two people not honoring their deal and by coincidence all voting for a different person who also didn't honor the deal). She could then either keep on voting for fox to try and uphold the stalemate or vote for someone else, killing that person and possibly making it look like fox was the culprit (because if he kept voting for her, she would have a vote and fox would be the only one with zero votes)

I mean someone who steals food from a charity doesn't seem like they would be the brightest person in the room... Easiest way for everyone to have the highest chance at survival would have been for everyone to vote for the person to their right. That way they wouldn't be putting themselves at any higher risk by voting for themselves and it would be easy for the group to see who betrayed the group if anyone didn't follow directions.

I'm 11 minutes in but I love that each mask represents the, this would of been my first thought waking up in this game too, to better see who was trustworthy. Usually serial killers or flamboyant artists have a deep connection with symbolism.

In the original manga this film is based on, one of the contestants had the sin of being gay and having been kicked out by his parents. Lion's sin is ridiculous as well, having been cancelled on social media after suffering abusive comments. These are included to show that people are sometimes condemned for ridiculous and shallow things that shouldn't matter, but are still held to the same standard as something like murder in certain people's eyes.

12:53 The original rule actually says word by word: "the remaining (alive) criminal after the final judgement will be released". So there could be only one round of judgement, or infinitely many rounds, anything is possible.

According to the game s rules there *should* be only one player standing however if they outsmart the game it doesn't specify there can only be one winner, what I'm trying to say is that the game maker probably didn't specify because he thought it was to no use, even though there could be just a matter of wording lol

ALMOST EVERY VIDEO I SEE FROM CINEMA SUMMARY, I HAVE ALWAYS WATCHED THEM ALREADY

You said it would be worth covering the camera's even though it's not guaranteed. I wouldn't do it since it's a death game and wouldn't do anything unless I was certain it was the best thing to do. Great video though, made some excellent points.

i remember reading that manga when i was far too young, completely forgot about it and had no idea it had been turned into a movie!

This guy will never die on any survival situation for sure...

Everyone in the game has done things of varying evil and then there's the lion who got shut down on the internet just for lashing out against crazy fans. Which is completely justifiable.

One of my absolute favorite mangas.

There are people saying how some people didn't deserve this but I think that's one of the points of the movie, no matter how bad your sin is from beating your mother so much she committed suicide to getting cancelled your the same amount of evil. Society is weird sometimes😢

I love how each persons animal sort of represented their crime. Bear mask and wolf mask were violent, Rabbit mask, shall I say, Reproduced alot, Pig mask stole and ate food, and Dog mask was clever to get what he wanted

They're all meant to represent the 7 deadly sins. Pig - Gluttony, Lion - Pride, Rabbit - Lust, Dog - Envy, Bear - Sloth, Wrath - Wolf and Fox - Greed. It's based on a manga series but that's pretty different to the film
