How I'd deal with this: adding holy water to the pool. It's said that holy water cannot be diluted, and thus turns any normal water it touches into more holy water. Then I'd find the source and do the same.

Why would they not tell each other they all were having weird experiences involving the pool?

Gotta agree! Especially after hearing that our pool water is coming from a stream? I’d wanna know if there’s something in the water making me hallucinate. I’d probably also use the water test on the black sludge or ask to see if the water company can can see what contents are in it.

As someone who has a pool in my house, the maintenance fees is already a horror story in of itself.

Ok so hear me out, a sequel where the spring water finds a path into a local beach or some kind of public swimming body of water. Turns out blocking the water from a private source just caused it to “spring” up somewhere worse

I just watched this movie last night! I was so flabbergasted when I got the notification that u posted a vid on the same movie I just watched! Good job!

Here’s my question: Rebecca’s mom said that for the healing water to work, a sacrifice needs to be made in the form of an innocent life, but she never specified that the innocent life had to be a member of the family, so what’s stopping eve from asking let’s say, one of her friends from work, if they want to come over to her house after work for a swim. Boom, there’s your sacrifice, you’re husband gets healed and your entire family survives

A phrase/quote I coined up while watching more of this channel's videos: "I wish horror movie makers would stop thinking 'It isn't a horror movie unless the characters make stupid decisions!'" Come on, how scary REALLY is a stupid thing that you could easily avoid with one non-stupid common sense fueled decision?? The scariest horror antagonists are the ones that get people who do even most everything right, so then it actually becomes scary instead of just annoying. I mean, come on. Why did the sister at the beginning NEED to get the toy boat, at night, in the dark, without supervision?? C'mon! And she still went BACK for the boat after the freaky thing that happened to her that nearly injured her!

And another idea for Rebecca: wait until it’s day so her mom and dad and other siblings can help her

How they should’ve survived: Ask about the house and check if it’s been in the news (a missing child would probably be there somewhere) Ask someone about the swimming pool. Avoid it after the brown goo comes from the drains until they can figure out how to stop it from making the goo If nothing else works about the hallucinations and danger then GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE POOL. Trust instincts about the pool when the lights begin flickering. NEVER let a cat out at night unattended When the cat goes missing be suspicious. As soon as the kid has that thing happen to them that’s when you know to run away. Btw R.I.P Cider. You will be missed you beautiful kitty.

As a diabetic, I'd like to clarify some significant misunderstandings from the video/movie. Firstly, insulin is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels. Not to be too dark, but as someone who had a sibling drown in a neighbor's unattended pool at an early age, I feel for Rebecca. Her parents should have gated and locked the pool and done their best to make sure it wasn't easily accessible without being unlocked.

“With one of their kids already on his dead bed you’d think they’d be a little more serious about protecting their only healthy one”. Well, sadly in many cases contrary happens, parents are extremely focused on the ill disabled child while the healthy one ends up a bit emotionally neglected. They never thought about safety pool because the sick child could end up there anyway and the heathy one “do we have another child? Oh I forgot”. It’s extremely sad but happens, the child that needs help or is actually dying is the priority but being heathy doesn’t mean the kid will be ok without the usual attention and mostly just accepts that asking for more from their parents will be extremely selfish and that the least fortunate one is the only priority.

I wanna recommend u a series called “A Shop For Killers” Thouh its not finished as it only have 2 episodes i think…?

i got so pissed off at the end because the mother never had a chance to tell the father that the pool needed to take a life to give the help because he was on a possessed rampage - so how was he even to know he had to sacrifice himself in the end?? was he a mindreader?

I agree and you're right why didn't she ask the neighborhood about the history of of the house and the pool before looking up the history of the house and Asking the realtor? And it was pretty interesting that this movie could have gone in so many directions the pool could have been cursed like it was and haunted like it was they could have had it all begin with a murder that happened in the pool years earlier before the main family moved in they could have had the pool not behind at all but a phyco comes kill someone who kills in the pool at night when they're out there vulnerable but but I prefer a haunted Pool Anyday. Also this movie may gives me an idea for a thriller I'm planing to write called the Waterman.
