    I feel like the “you fucked up” segment should’ve gone to Peter’s parents, not Peter. Not only did their constant abuse give Peter ample reason to trust Sarah over them, but their main method of punishing him was to lock him up away from everyone else, where he would have no one but Sarah for company and plenty of time to grow increasingly suspicious of their erratic behavior. Even if Peter hadn’t gone as far as killing them, at the very least he probably would have grown up hating and fearing them and would’ve undoubtedly freed Sarah the second he thought he could get away with it. And honestly, if Sarah hadn’t turned out to be evil, Peter probably could’ve gotten off light on the murder charges - an abused child poisoning his child-murdering parents to save his imprisoned sister is the kind of headline-making sob-story case most defense attorneys could only dream of.

    It seems like a nightmare with her hair just freaking teleporting and all over the place and straight up disappearing. But regardless if they wanted to make it seem like a nightmare, real or leave it open, it would've been better to finish it when Peter sees the hair outside his room. The realization of "Oh, shit" is way scarier without the jumpscare ruining it.

    It was still going to take some years for him to be able to converse and understand her? If anything the daughter's resentment is the parents' fault because of how they treated her, and it's only human nature for siblings to feel jealousy and resentment towards whichever one the parents favor? Children don't ask to be born, and it's not their fault if they have some type of deformity or disability when they're born, but it is their parents' responsibility to love and accept them.

Maybe I wouldn’t have liked a fully dark and full room sided basement but I did once shove myself In the under storage of the camper and didn’t come out until I was bribed with icecream, made my sub teacher freak out because I spent nap time under a bookshelf, slept In my dogs crate with with him, and made a space in my closet behind a toy box to hid and sleep. Now with my own money I’ve decided to live in a camper and chose bunks instead of office space and refuse to sleep in the master bedroom and spend most my time in the very back of the top bunk.

    Substitute Teacher here, just if you wanted to know, in the United State, all educators, (teachers, principals, substitute teachers) are what is known as a Mandated Reporter. That means that if you have a reasonable suspicion, by law you have to report suspected child abuse of any kind directly to your local child protective services and THEY are the ones that investigate and find evidence. You do not have to have ANY evidence or admissions of the abuse, just a strong feeling or suspicion. So, really, Ms Devine could have reported the situation any time after that drawing, as it was a clear sign of a call for help. She ESPECIALLY, could have called after visiting the house of the child and the child nowhere in sight and the parents giving such a sus answer to her questions. But if she did report it we wouldn't have a movie and she wouldn't have been able to beat a monster down with a fire poker, so take your pick.

  • @InKY09

    @InKY09

    8 ай бұрын

    Not sure if you’ve seen the movie, but it’s a surreal blend of realistic and stylistic elements that probably convey the kid’s imagination of what happened. It’s possible “Miss Devine” became his personal savior because he didn’t realize she would have had a legal obligation to report things to someone else, and she just happened to be there. The sister might not have been an actual monster at all. I enjoyed the movie, but I also like knowing what “really” happened.

    Honestly what’s weird about this if the spider girl was so freakishly strong how did she not break out of the room in the first place ? Like the sub was able to easily smash through with a poker. But the girl who can yoink a kid with one hand while hanging from the ceiling can’t ? Not to mention she had years to break free and even had a small hole all she needed to do was work slowly breaking off pieces of wood gradually. This whole thing could have been avoided though if A. The parents put down their freaky kid or B. Explained to their son that the girl in the walls was his sister who not only was a monster but killed another kid in cold blood.

    I don't recommend picking up the skull. Just run to the police station and say you found what you think is a human skull there. Taking it with you would potentially contaminate evidence and make it harder to prove the skull was there.

    One thing I am for sure getting tired of in horror movies. is the ambiguous, sequel bait endings. Like the "The monster is still out there" type endings you hear at the end of every campfire ghost story. Your film is likely not getting a sequel, just give the characters their happy ending for once and be done with it. it just feels so predictable at this point

    I hate when movies end with essentially the villain coming back and we assume our heroes off screen die and that the villain just wins and I guess goes on doing more evil things? like...that's so dumb

    Yeah I don’t know why A. She was left alive or B. They didn’t get as far away as possibly from the creepy spider demon girl. If it was me and I knew there was something like that after me I’d at least move to the other side of the country if moving outside of the country wasn’t an viable option.

    With all the deaths i’m certain it got wrapped up in a bag and a neat bow. Sarah was just preying on the little brothers fear but there’s no way he stayed in that house by himself with 5+ bodies and police didn’t get some answers
