Tbh as psychologist I can tell you that it's generally not recommended to have office in own house. I know some doctors like pediatrician do it sometimes, but psychologists usually don't. Both because of safety and because in our job division between professional and private life is important (mostly because it can worsen effects of therapy). Also most basic thing: it's hard to ensure patient's privacy at home. If I tell my family I can't be bothered except emergency everything is emergency

For those who are wondering, lights are probably annoying to the boogeyman, kind of like an allergy and which is why he stays away from light in general. For those who might ask why he doesn’t attack in light, he knows he can be killed such as the fire at the end and physically take damage, so he uses the darkness as a hunting method to keep himself hidden and his victims to be viewed as crazy and most people wouldn’t believe them, making it easier for him to kill

I think he messed up about the part where stronger lights affect it. It was able to be scared away by a refrigerator light, the ball was brighter. So how could the creature get scared by the refrigerator light but not the ball,

They also hibernate for several years after killing in some legends. The creature in this movie only matches the wendigo by lanky appearance alone.

He also used a clip of the creature from The Ritual in this sequence, but that’s not a Wendigo either - it’s a Jotunn. People are weirdly obsessed with Wendigos and seem to think every monster in any show ever is a Wendigo. I don’t get it tbh.

Honestly the fact it hides in closets is a dead giveaway that it’s the boogeyman, I mean the whole idea of a “boogeyman” is a scary supernatural creature that steals bad children and hides in closets ( keep in mind this is what I understood about this creature of legend ), the boogeyman is up there with other famous monsters from media like vampires, Frankenstein, invisible man, etc. And the fact that it’s a very well known monster should help you defend yourself against it.

Can we just take a second to appreciate what a little genius Sawyer is. 😂

Honestly why don't they just keep the lights on more so the Boogieman can't even attack them in the first place? Then they could try to figure out a way to kill it. Keeping the lights off at night is so stupid of them.

Honestly, I respect that the lady double tapped by making sure to hit the monster with more shotgun pellets, even after it was put onto the ground. But I would’ve taken no chances. I would’ve had holy water and flipped on the lights as soon as the thing is on the ground to make sure the thing is still getting hit by its weakness And then, just to be extra sure, each of those bullets are gonna spend at least an hour soaking and holy water so that they are extra effective
