My name is Syawish and I'm the one-man team that runs Al Muqaddimah. History has always appealed to me more than most things and with time, I came to realize that a certain part, the real, detailed part, about people that called themselves Muslims, was barely available on youtube. It didn't take a lot of research to realize that even Muslims did not seem to know much of their history like how Islam reached the world, what happened to al-Andalus etc. Wanting to answer some of those questions, I decided to fill in the gaps with Al Muqaddimah.
Question by question, answer by answer, this caravan of history aficionados has grown into what it is today. From the very beginning, this channel has been about history and history only. All of my videos have been and will continue to be from a liberal and secular point of view. If you are looking for a religious take on Islamic history then Al Muqaddimah is not the channel for you.

In the Medieval period, homosexuality were very much uncommon. I also searched about it. But mostly are totally either biased or blasphemy. Because, that time homosexuality was not only a taboo but also it was an impossible thing. My fiancée was shocked when I told her that, "in Europe it's common that Guy can fuck guys and girls can fuck girls." She got shocked and told me crazy. This is 21st century, still many people don't understand homosexuality. Then how come it was possible at Medieval period in Islamic world? In Quran, homosexuality were shown as more punishable act than adultery even other Abrahamic books. So it was taboo those arts has a lot of confusing facts these are not enough for these facts. By the way, these arts is not that hard for some great artists in this period. So, making a fake painting is not uncommon and LGBTQ agenda is really a bad move. Most of the authors and historian who had mentioned this topic were from the Europe and many European historians had a negative impression on the Islamic world. Many historians couldn't show any logical proof. 0:05 this painting is about Shah Ismail of Iran who loves a young boy. But you don't know that who is the actual painter and the discovery of the the time line very much confusing. I hope you understand. Besides, in Medieval period, most persons were too much religious but homosexuals are opposite. They are so much arrogant that they don't even think anything with logic and they got Rebellious about religion so easily. So, it's impossible to have a rich history of homosexuality in Medieval Islamic world. Guess what, one day someone will claim Sultan Saladin had a male escort which is not even true. Adultery was punishable that time and homosexuality was like a disgusting stuff then and still now. That's why westen people are now rejected LGBTQ
