The year is 1659 of the Common Era. A majority of the Indian subcontinent is ruled by the Mughal Empire which just came out of a war of succession triggered while the previous emperor was still alive. The four sons of Emperor Shah Jahan picked up the sword for their claim to the Peacock Throne. When the dust settled, only one of the sons remained, Prince Aurangzeb. With his father locked up and his brothers dead or exiled, Aurangzeb took over the great Mughal Empire as Shahanshah Aurangzeb Alamgir, the Conqueror of the World.

This is what the guide or maintainer of the place said(link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6Z8rdhtld3cdrg.html), when we visited the Shrine of Aurangazeb Alamgir, and the dargah of the saint beside him is said to be "Ahlebayt", where every year on 12th of rabi-ul-awwal I guess, Prophet saw's, clothes is been showed to public.

You don’t seem to mention the entirety of history here..this video just aims to degrade might of powerful emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir..in short this channel might be sponsored by RSS.

*Some of the corrections* 8:07 these parganas were vassals under Mughalia flag and some under Bijapur. However the Deshmukhs there had tried revolting and seeking an Indepednent rule, But armies of Muhammad Adilshah of Bijapur and Aurangzeb Alamgir from Mughalia were huge and outnumbered which crushed them from both sides, and thus they had to become as small vassal reigns either under the Bijapur or under parcham e mughalia. 9:41 shivaji did not offer his military service to mughals untill 1665. When he was defeated by Jai Singh I and signed peace reaty which is indeed *Treaty of Purandar*, from that time he offered Aurangzeb Alamgir and Mughals his service. 10:48 Shivaji with his son Sambhaji and his men appeared to Aurangzeb at mughal court of Agra not at Delhi. It is also said that it was Alamgir's Birth anniversary celebration. You mentioned that Shivaji dodged mughals betrayed Shah Aurangzeb and then again considered himself as independant ruler. 12:25 Sambhaji was not taken to delhi . He was killed and executed in the Deccan at Tulapur, Maharashtra. 13:55 Yes He did not stop yet and chased Rajaram I the King of Maratha Empire till jinjee, and except some few forts all major forts were captured by shah Aurangzeb, even all the Maratha capitals during that time which were- Rajgarh, Raigarh and Jinjee and then satara . So the map you have shown here is wrong because Aurangzeb captured many parts of Maratha Empire that time. And then some years before Aurangzeb died Tarabai had regained many maratha forts which were captured by Alamgir Aurangzeb and also some of the extra areas like Malwa. By the way the Video was really great, It deserves many likes. Keep going brother.

I see there is similarity among, The Alamgir, The Kanuni, The Alexander & Justinian. They all suffered from success and stuck with successors who could carry their legacy. They just did not know when to stop, they all arguably died on military campaign. They all saw their loved ones and trusted generals passed in front of them, they all were the last of the grapes. The all spent little time at home, they all were the firm enemy of luxury God, I'm surprised even while typing this. To the rulers who were cursed by the blessing every king dreams of. A cruelty worthy for a true King.

This has lies. Mughals never won over Maratha. It was a guerilla warfare and Mughals couldn't hold any castle they won in that time period. Aurangzeb started with the rich Mughal empire and Maratha made Mughal's broke. This was the reason for the downfall of Mughals not their weak rulers. The latter rulers couldn't afford to pay the bills. The Maratha kept on attacking the Mughal's supply line when Mughals tried to siege a castle. Read from some trusted sources. Emperor Aurangzeb has been one of the most righteous and unique rulers in history. He was a brilliant economist. He is the man who alone defeated the English, Chinese and Portuguese. One king mastering multiple disciplines. Other kings such as Louis XVI of France praised him a few times. During Aurangzeb's sharia reign Mughal India surpassed Qing China and became the world's largest economy, worth 1/4 of global GDP and waved the Proto-industrialisation (Bengal showed signs of a possible Industrial Revolution, hence preceding England, but the British deindustrialised its economy starting from the Battle of Plassey). Gujarat recovered from a famine due to his policies based from Islamic finance (Fatwa Alamgiri). As a practicing Muslim, Aurangzeb memorised the entire Holy Quran and never took a penny from the Royal treasury for his personal use like the other monarchs (he imprisoned his father due to his corruption with the treasury), he avoided a luxurious life and by profession he was cap sewer despite being born with golden spoon...Aurangzeb was also the first one to defeat the English (Anglo-Mughal War) and took Mount Kailash from the Chinese. He repelled Tai-Ahom attacks from Assam and protected the hindus and drove back the Portuguese inquisition coming to the north. Stories of the demolitions of temples were highly exaggerated, he paid maintenance for the temples and gave good wages to the hindu priests. He was the greatest and most pious Emperor in Indian history.

Great video as always, love your channel. In fact I love it so much that If I saw you I would gift you all my possessions on the spot. Not even joking, if anyone ever comes up to me and tells me "I'm Al, from Al Muqaddimah" or "The name's Al, Al Muqaddimah" I would gift them everything I own immediately. I'm not even poor either, I work in finance and put my all into a company that exploits me, the only reason I stick to it is for the money. Still, with all that being said, the day I write my will Al Muqaddimah will be the main beneficiary and if I ever see you everything I own will be yours. But you have to find me. Good luck.

Foreign rule can never be justified. And you are no one to advocate him. Stop looking at everything from a lens of religion. And Akbar was not any better. They were all foreign invaders nothing more nothing less. Fantasizing them on the basis of religion would do no good. Specially the like of you who aren't even from his territory.

Aurangzeb is only considered great among certain crowds, not everyone. The reason for that would be his work on the Shariah in the form of his Fatawa-i Alamgiri. He's seen as a pious and just man. Conservatives tend to like people they think of as religious. The reason many Muslims (Pakistani and Indian) don't like Akbar is because he tried to "start a new religion".
