Unfortunately , the Sikhs living in foreign countries have been systematically brainwashed by the foreign enemy elements and started destroying india by making them poke their own eyes...... Hope you understand wht I'm trying to say. Please take care of your children before they get brainwashed and starts hating india and leaving it . ❤️🙏

You are critiquing the professor's alleged use of the so called "woman card" against an Ad Hominem logical fallacy (i.e. when the character and legitimacy of a person is questioned or attacked *instead of* the argument that is put forth, for more info: m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/eGl3r7lriKWuZqw.html) It is the case that there exists no other way to properly address an Ad Hominem than to inspect and expose why this fallacy may have been used. She has correctly employed this measure, by noting that the man, instead of engaging with the argument and the evidence to support the argument, has rather attacked her legitimacy. Attacks on legitimacy by appealing to character (even if it is without addressing gender) is historically established as a patriarchal measure that is employed by men against women. Men are less likely to use an ad Hominem against a man, especially a man that projects strong masculinity. Ad Hominems are largely employed against those seen as being of inferior standing, and gender does play a part in the choice to employ this logical fallacy. The professor is rightly not engaging with the fallacy itself but with its root that lies in patriarchy- patriarchy being the key feasible reason/excuse/basis for this man to use an ad hominem against this woman- gender is the only area where he can ostensibly claim society-endorced elitism and so justify this cheap tactic. She is astute in noticing and exposing this factor that lies behind his choice to indulge in discourse that is unbecoming. // Also, if you want another example of an Ad Hominem logical fallacy, just look at any of the replies to this comment. Notice that this comment isn't edited; Bhakt behavior is just that predictable.

You see this has always been our problem. We leave loopholes for outsiders to squeeze themselves in and point fingers on our own people in our own land. We are more welcoming towards a foreigner when we disregard the existence of our own people living in the Northeast. The hatred among ourselves, the fights we fight inside, the lack of a strong bond and most importantly Indian fails miserably in understanding that we are brothers and sisters of one family and no matter what, we don't allow anyone to point a finger on our people. If there's a problem, we will solve that among us but we don't tolerate insults from an outsider.

Example.2 Yajur Veda - chapter- 32: - God Supreme or Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. These verses match with the Quran.

I've been through quite a few comments and believe can make a calculated comment of my own. I believe this is the issue with the current Indian State i.e. we don't want to consider a VIEWPOINT. We've gotten so much intolerant that if anything goes beyond our beliefs we're agitated. The gentleman, who was not very gentle, for sure asked really good questions and to some extent the speaker answered them. Now to come to a conclusion as to whether she is a Islam or Mughal lover one needs to read the book and not come to a conclusion merely on the grounds of the presentation/speech. Simply because we saw the post on a pro right channel does not mean we have to come to watch the video with a presumption that there is something wrong or anti hindu. Listen to the whole presentation and the discussion through a neutral prism then you'll know whether it is a Propaganda or a view point proposed after research and analysis. Finally, as she said she does not need to be right, as a historian she's just trying to reveal a different point of view, which does not necessarily has to be completely wrong merely because it does not suit your ideology and above all she clearly says that she's looking forward to writers who'll come up with writings which very well can be challenging her views. But I am really happy that you people actually came and watched the whole video to make a reasoned viewpoint, because most of us are not even willing to do that and spew hate simply because you saw something on a 30 secs reel.

I don't think that's a fair point. Being American doesn't mean a person's lens is American, just like being Indian doesn't mean ones lens is Indian. 1) Micheal Danino was born French, he has done wonderful work on the continuity of Indian culture from the indus sarswathi civilization to present. So refute her on facts, make counter arguments in research, just saying she won't understand something because she is American is disingenuous, and not an argument that would sit well in the Indian ethos, which has always strived for truth.
