In a previous video on this channel, I discussed whether or not we have historical evidence for the existence of Prophet Muhammad, the central figure of the religion of Islam. Turns out, we do have evidence for him. Now, in this series of videos, I wanna discuss what we know about the "Historical Muhammad". However, before we do it, we have to discuss what the traditional narrative tells us about the life of the Prophet of Islam. This narrative comes from the Seerah and the Hadith, which were compiled in the 8th century, some 100-200 years after the Prophet's death. So, let's get started.

Wow, this Is a bit of and exaggeration. When I attended school I had a chapter in my history book on the Islamic Conquest ,but it only explained Muhammed and his life, the Islamic Conquest ( without much details) , what happened after Muhammad 's death and the origin of the schism between Sunni and Shia . That's it. Not a lot really ,but the birth of Islam was not explained just as one cause to the fall of the Byzantine Empire. Probably the way Islamic history is explained in Western Countries also depends on the country. I am Italian , but in the comments under another video I read that in Spain they study it more in details because Spain had Islamic kingdoms for 700 hundred years.

Wonderful video. However, I noticed that amongst the many companions named like 3 of the Rashidun Caliphs and some others, there was a distinct lack of mentioning of Ali, a man who is widely regarded by Muslims. He was a very important figure in the Prophet's life as well. Talking about him doesn't make one 'too Shia' or 'dismissing the other companions'.

Fun fact. Muhammad was the first person in history to claim that the Arab god of the Kabah was the same god as in the Bible. He founded the religion of Islam based on two previous religions which then instructs its followers to wage war against the adherents of the two previous religions. Qur'an 9.29. His greatest achievement was to bind the Arab tribes into a fanatical fighting force that went on to conquer the Mediterranean and create the greatest and most cruel slave trade the world has ever known. Lovely warlord that he was. 😁

His preaching was at a point in time where the region as a whole and Christianity were at a turning point due to constant strife going on for years. Because of him a new civilization was born 4. He didn’t unify all the tribes, that was done by his successors 5. Regardless of what modern notions of morals you force on Mohamed, the astonishing feats he did were remarkable and is conclusive proof of a great man that changed human history, arguably for the better

@@birlikberaberlik346ur in no position to talk lindu atleast he treated Aisha good It was a sunny, blistering April morning in Hyderabad, the headquarters of a gazillion multinational IT behemoths. My family was gearing up for what was to be the first major Ram Navami Puja (ritual) in four years. We invited a well-renowned priest to conduct the three-hour-long ceremony. The event ended at about half-past one in the afternoon, when he uttered a few words that I don’t think I’ll forget in the foreseeable future. He said he was going to marry off his daughter at the age of 10.[1] While female infanticide amongst modern Hindus is well known, what is less understood is the practice of: Child Marriage. Stats reveal the widespread prevalence of child marriage in India - the country with some of the highest figures on a comparative global scale. RELATED: Hinduism and the Killing of Female Infants Despite a plunge in the rate of child marriages over the past decade, there are more underage brides in India than any other country in the world.[2] Study the following stats carefully: Nearly 12 million Indian children were married before the age of 10 years - 84% of the Hindu and 11% Muslim - reveals an IndiaSpend analysis of recently released census data. To put it in context, this number is equivalent to Jammu & Kashmir’s population. RELATED: The Hypocrisy of the West Accusing Islam of Pedophilia As many of 7.84 million (65%) married children were female, reinforcing the fact that girls; eight in 10 illiterate children who were married were also girls.[3] Child Marriage was the norm in the Vedic era.[4] Despite a ban on child marriage in India, these marriages take place today without any restriction in Indian villages. What Is the Scriptural Basis for This Practice? One shall give his daughter in the proper form, even though she may not have attained (the age), to a bridegroom who is of exceptionally distinguished appearance, and her equal. - (9.88)[5] Commentary of the above text by Medhatithi: ‘She who has not attained’; -i.e., who has no carnal desires aroused, who is still too young, not having reached the youthful age, -called ‘nagnikā’ in another Smṛti-text; i.e., one in whom the sexual instinct has not arisen, who is only eight or six years old, -but not a mere infant; as is indicated by the qualifications (elsewhere)- ‘one who is eight years old.’ This same qualification may also be indicative of the fact that marriage is meant to be conducive to spiritual merit If mere Lust were the sole inducement to Marriage, wherefore could there be any marriage of the girl ‘who has not attained her age’? Other Noted Works state the following: Gautama (18-21). - ‘A girl should be given in marriage before puberty.’ And: Vaśiṣṭha (17.70). - ‘Out of fear of the appearance of the menses, let the father marry his daughter while she still runs about naked. For if she stays in the home after the age of puberty, sin falls on the father.’ And: Baudhāyana (4. 1.11). - ‘Let him give his daughter, while she still goes about naked, to a man who has not broken the vow of chastity and who possesses good qualities, or even to one destitute of good qualities; let him not keep the maiden in his house after she has reached the age of puberty.’ Even the ‘global pandemic’ has not slowed the rate of child marriage in India. In fact, child marriages were on the increase as reported on 5 November 2020.[6] Why are Hindus attacking Muslims for a practice they not only engage in at a far higher rate than Muslims, but is encouraged in many places by their own religious texts?

I understand that you have the be brief and have to condense a lot of information in one video however the first 3 caliphs are named, so is Salman, Abu Sufyan, Aisha, Abu Lahab, etc. It seems like you withheld his name deliberately which is unfortunate for the credibility of your content.

Thirty-Two Sins of Muhammad. A new book has been published in German and English by author Zahid Khan, titled “The Criminal Acts of Prophet Mohammed.” The author demonstrates that Muhammad, instead of being a true Prophet of God, was misguided by his own evil pursuits and ambitions. His success was not due to the depth of his religious insights, but rather due to animating thousands of idled Arabs by the prospect of spoils and sex-slaves on earth and even more virgins and material pleasures in the hereafter. Here is a short synopsis of the 32 failings Muhammad owns up to in the book’s narrative: 1. I ordered the veiling women, which was never ordered by God 2. I ordained polygamy, which was not God’s plan 3. I also conceived the special dispensation for me to marry any woman I wished 4. I made many pronouncements that were driven by my lust for women 5. I even captured and raped Jewish married women and kept them in my harem 6. I determined that a woman’s testimony only counted as half that of a man 7. I ordained that men could beat their women if they were disobedient 8. I began attacking caravans (at Nakhla) against God’s wishes 9. I ordered the killing of poets who criticized me 10. I made God angry by refusing to make peace with Jews and Christians 11. I authorized and participated in the beheading of 900 Jewish men 12. I made a law authorizing the murder of non-believers, against God’s will 13. I called Jews “rats” even though they were descendants of Abraham 14. I, at the end of my life, refused God’s request that I clean up the Quran of all the corrupt laws I had written into it 15. I refused God’s request that I divorce myself from all the women except Aisha 16. I refused God’s request that I go to Rome and unite with the Christian church 17. I wanted my religion to wipe out all other religions 18. I refused God’s request to work towards uniting Islam with Judaism and Christianity because I did not like it 19. I ordained that Muslim men could have up to four wives so the Muslim population would increase quickly 20. I saw God’s form but did not witness this to my followers 21. I refused to partner with Jesus because I wanted my own religion 22. I left Archangel Gabriel with no choice but to form a new religion 23. I ignored the words of God transmitted through Archangel Gabriel 24. I refused God’s request to edit out my own passages in the Quran 25. I acknowledge responsibility for the hostility between Israel and Palestine to this day 26. I exiled Jewish tribes from their land without sympathy or compassion 27. I refused God’s request that I love the Jewish people as I loved my own family members 28. I ordered the killing of all other prophets so that I would be the last prophet 29. I extracted draconian commands from the Old Testament and old Arabian laws, despite signs from heaven calling on me to have more compassion 30. I authorized men to divorce their wives simply by saying “I divorce you” three times 31. I forbade anyone to marry my widows because I was afraid they would abandon me in the spiritual world 32. I knew the promise of virgins in Paradise for martyrs was valid only during my lifetime, but I never informed my followers of this limitation. Of course, these were only the sins that Muhammad actually acknowledged in the book. There are many more, like r@ping nine-year-old Aisha or extorting jizyah from non-Muslims, that could be added to the list. Still, the thirty-two admissions put this Prophet in a class - all by himself.

Fun fact. Muhammad dictated much of his Quran to scribes in his lifetime, stuff he'd heard from others around him at the time and he never knew if the stories he heard were in the Bible or whether they were from apocryphal stories and pseudo-gospels circulating at the time. His utterances were mostly compiled after his death. In fact like all other scriptures, the Quran came out of a man and was written down by the hands of men and later compiled and edited by yet other men. 😁

An entire video on the life of the Prophet and no mention of Ali (as): who slept in the bed of the prophet the night of hijra and thus help save his life, not to mention his role in Badr, Khaybar, and every major battle the Prophet took part in. It was Ali who was born inside the Kaaba, and who broke the idols in it. I thought at least you'd mention him at the end 23:05, as he's even shown raising his hand on the pulpit of saddles in the picture you used: for every one who doesn't know, its during this speech where he declared, whomever I am his master, then Ali is his master. It's disappointing to see a life history of the prophet with any mention of the man who stood by his side throughout all of it. A thorough presentation 👍 The hadith mention the incident of battle against Banu Qurayza. Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: Some people (i.e. the Jews of Bani bin Quraiza) agreed to accept the verdict of Sadd bin Muadh so the Prophet sent for him (i.e. Sadd bin Muadh). He came riding a donkey, and when he approached the Mosque, the Prophet said, "Get up for the best amongst you." Then the Prophet said, "O Sadd! These people have agreed to accept your verdict." Sadd said, "I judge that their warriors should be killed and their children and women should be taken as slaves." The Prophet said, "You have given a judgment similar to Allah's Judgment." ~ Sahih al-Bukhari 3804 [Book 63, Hadith 29] Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: One woman of Banu Qurayzah was killed. She was with me, talking and laughing on her back and belly (extremely), while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was killing her people with the swords. Suddenly a man called her name: Where is so-and-so? She said: I, I asked: What is the matter with you? She did a new act. She was laughing extremely although she knew that she would be killed. The man took her and beheaded her. Sunan Abi Dawud 2671 [Book 15, Hadith 195]

Can i just say, as a woman who grew up in the Christian south (not a Christian anymore), i find it beautiful that his first wife was a wealthy widow who proposed to him! This would be absolutely unheard of in the churches i grew up in, a woman who had been married before, with control over her own money making the first move to pursue a man, but not just any man, the prophet? Idk, i just love that. It might seem like a little thing to some, but I hits me right in the heart to see women who lived in such a different time than we do now treated with respect, and dignity. I love to hear about the part women played in history❤

The black stone of The kaaba. The ancient Babylonians had their moral code on a black stone: was this the inspiration for the mythical stone in a cave? Hammurabi's code was inscribed in 1776 BC. Did the Tayaye imagine that their founder was led by a heavenly and mystical tablet of stone on which the Tayaye's code was inscribed? Did this lead to a more fleshed out myth, a prophet with a heavenly book? And then, was there a splitting of the myth into two: a qur'an in Arabic and a black stone in the kaaba of Mecca? Jiu Tang Shu 651 There are three caves on the west side of Ju Fen Mo Di Na mountain. Large amount of weapons is stored inside the caves. There is also a black stone with test craved on it. You will become king if you read and do what the text on the black stone tells you. Desecrations The Stone has suffered repeated desecrations and damage over the course of time. It is said to have been struck and smashed to pieces by a stone fired from a catapult during the Umayyad Caliphate's siege of Mecca in 683. The fragments were rejoined by Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr using a silver ligament. In January 930, it was stolen by the Qarmatians, who carried the Black Stone away to their base in Hajar (modern Eastern Arabia). According to Ottoman historian Qutb al-Din, writing in 1857, the Qarmatian leader Abu Tahir al-Jannabi set the Black Stone up in his own mosque, the Masjid al-Dirar, with the intention of redirecting the hajj away from Mecca. This failed, as pilgrims continued to venerate the spot where the Black Stone had been. According to the historian al-Juwayni, the Stone was returned twenty-three years later, in 952. The Qarmatians held the Black Stone for ransom, and forced the Abbasids to pay a huge sum for its return. It was wrapped in a sack and thrown into the Friday Mosque of Kufa, accompanied by a note saying "By command we took it, and by command we have brought it back." Its abduction and removal caused further damage, breaking the stone into seven pieces. Its abductor, Abu Tahir, is said to have met a terrible fate; according to Qutb al-Din, "the filthy Abu Tahir was afflicted with a gangrenous sore, his flesh was eaten away by worms, and he died a most terrible death." To protect the shattered stone, the custodians of the Kaaba commissioned a pair of Meccan goldsmiths to build a silver frame to surround it, and it has been enclosed in a similar frame ever since. In the 11th century, a man allegedly sent by the Fatimid caliph al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah attempted to smash the Black Stone but was killed on the spot, having caused only slight damage. In 1674, according to Johann Ludwig Burckhardt, someone allegedly smeared the Black Stone with excrement so that "every one who kissed it retired with a sullied beard". According to the archaic Sunni belief, by the accusation of one boy, the Persian of an unknown faith was suspected of sacrilege, where Sunnis of Mecca "have turned the circumstance to their own advantage" by assaulting, beating random Persians and forbidding them from Hajj until the ban was overturned by the order of Muhammad Ali. The explorer Sir Richard Francis Burton pointed out on the alleged "excrement action" that "it is scarcely necessary to say that a Shi'a, as well as a Sunni, would look upon such an action with lively horror", and that the real culprit was "some Jew or Christian, who risked his life to gratify a furious bigotry”.

There is no 'you'-plural in my comment, I was refering exclusivly to @Blue Lion, so unless you are his wife or his conjoined twin, I dont see how this in anyway implies your involvment. Second, The man making this video is a muslim, but simply for shortening the video and not adding 'saw' after everytime mentioning his name, people like Blue Lion are basically calling him kafir or munafiq. This is the saddest type of emotional guiltripping that does really nothing. It doesnt improve the quality of the video, it doesnt add anything, appart from satisfying some strange Salafi-esque purity meassure onto the videos of a man who is spreading incredible historical knowledge on the Islamic world. Doing this in a public forum, with such words is either an act of backbiting if Syawish was not to be aware of this comment, or else it is an act of publicly shaming a fellow believer. "As for those who abuse believing men and women unjustifiably, they will definitely bear the guilt of slander and blatant sin." (Quran 33:58) "O believers! Avoid many suspicions, ˹for˺ indeed, some suspicions are sinful. And do not spy, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of their dead brother? You would despise that! And fear Allah. Surely Allah is ˹the˺ Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful." (Quran 49:12) "Woe to every backbiter, slanderer," (Quran 104:1). Good day and peace be upon you.
