The Oyster Boys are two guys who like everything to do with beer.
We focus on making beer, and review all grain and extract recipe kits so you can find out what is worth making, and what isn't.

so what would be the highest alcohol content that could be brewed in this device?
Alcohol content isn’t to do with the device, it’s to do with the ingredients. So as high as you like really!
@@OysterBoysBrewingCo excellent! This is what I wanted to hear as it means it is up to the brewing person to come with recipes...
👍🍻
I put ball lock posts on the coupler and that way you can just use the spear without having to buy the adapter. I still take the spear out for cleaning. You can use the prv on the coupler to vent the keg with no fear of old beer/cider gushing out
That's a pretty good shout!
How have you gone about doing that?
@@OysterBoysBrewingCo I got the ball lock connectors on Ali Express but they're on Amazon too, just look for keg coupler ball lock adapter. I get the spear out the same way you do except I use a trusty 1 euro coin
Hi mate how easy are they to clean
I use a kegland bucket blaster and have no issues
👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Be safe out there!
To get the characteristics of both don't dual pitch, one will likely dominate. Just use the most under-utilized technique in the history of homebrewing (and probably craft brewing), blend! Just choose how much you want of each post-fermentation or even post-carbonation and cooling, it doesn't even have to be a 50-50 split. Save yourself that second tap, and keep wheat beer on one twice as long :)
I’m wondering if you pressure ferment do you use 2 pack of yeast or 1 ?
Thanks for the advice. Don’t Oysters make pearls from a little bit of dirt or grit? 👍
M8 a damaged ring is never a good thing your better off having a new shiny ring and you now have one nice work 🍻👍
You got that right!
Cracking video as always chaps! Got to be down to the yeast impacting the hop flavour. We used BRY-97 and we got mega hop flavours! Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
How to remove the alcohol?
Great review chaps looks like a good beer cheers 🍻
What temperature did you run it at?
I think about 55c
Looks a decent kit that one. have dark rock started putting weights in their recipes yet?
They have the total weight for the grain, and the individual weights of each of the hop addition packets.
Great insights lads! Thanks for using #FarmhouseVibes!
YES 🍻
I must have summoned you here!
Love it sounds fantastic and ground breaking. Was wishing the rain held off during the tasting. Nice one Penny love it cheers 👍🍻
Great product! available in Canada too!
Got me thinking, a rarity, Target hops descriptor includes Sage...
I want it! The WHC is mainly banana and I really want that! Good vid guys. Love a wheat beer but I don't feel I've ever had the banana really.
Can you use any tea?
I suspect so!
Anyone selling this in the US?
I'm still waiting the burp contest with Mark.
Both looking stunning cheers 👍🍻
Ferment them separately and blend them in the keg 🍻
Great shout!
I’ve just brewed the same kit with the WHC Banana Split as well, got loads of banana and clove flavours. Did 3 days at 18c, then finished it off at 20c. Turned out amazing (it’s one of my favourite’s too)
Great minds think alike!
Please can you tell me which kit this was? Looking for this or something very similar if you have any other recommendations? Thanks
It was this one.... www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product/allagash-white-clone-belgian-witt/
Great review as always, orderer one
Great review! I've already got the cip and a Brewzilla gen 4. I was considering the Enzybrew cleaner after watching the malt miller video, but the recommended temperature was a bit high for cleaning PET fermenters, so that put me off. But after seeing this I will definitely buy some for deep cleaning the Brewzilla and counterflow chiller. 🍻🍻
Don't be too embarrassed commercial breweries use heavier duty cleaning chemicals like caustic to do the same job and that stuff is rough to work with :)
Was that just shadows but it looked like there was still beerstone on the sides of the GF ? .
Just shadows
Daft lassie question: I don’t use my chiller but would the BKT Red spinning thing work using the recirculation pipe? Super impressed with the cleaner - and no need for shame!
Yes it would! Thanks for the emotional support 😂
I have always just used the proprietary cleaner from Grainfather, this looks like a good option for a periodic deepclean. Thanks
Definitely worth a try
I think a caustic based product would do the same, but it would be cheaper. Any chance you could do the video on the pros and cons of using the pub style cooler? Cheers!
Hi Chris! Yes, I’m probably going to be filming that video in the next few weeks. Just need Penny to come back from his holiday
I used enzybrew 10 and the Kegland CIP for the first time on my G30 the other week and it's such a time and effort saver with better results at the end of it. At the end of fermentation I'll sit the fermzilla in the top of the G30 and go again. I really hated cleaning the Fermzilla, so this little red spinny friend is just amazing. I used 10 litres but seeing what you've done with 6, I think I'll go the same way. Thanks very reading!
How about using the Brew Bros 5l all grain clone kits
Not really a fan of 5L brews as we can make 20L for no more effort. Will check out the brew bros stuff though
Great vid and review managed to screen shot the water additions but need the volumes please ❤ cheers 🍻
Hi great video. How long did you did you leave the beer in the keg before doing the video?
Great Vid as usual. Looking forward to that Dark Rock sea breeze review. Just kegged it this weekend
3 videos in 6 days your spoiling me. 140 dry hop 👍superdelic hops that’s such a cool name never used them 😎👌another cracking vid cheers 👍🍻
Another great brew day and a fine looking beer defo be brewing this one cheers chaps 🍻
Great video. Can never go wrong with the dark rock kits.
Hahaha
Good looking beers, fellas. I'm a pommie that has moved to NZ so thought I'd help out with the pronunciations. Say them quickly... Motueka - Mo-too-wekka Riwaka - Ree-war-ka Sauvin - Just like Sauvignon Blanc wine Moutere - Moo-te-ree I'm sure I'll get slated for that but...
I'm a pommie that moved to NZ MANY years ago, and you're right you're gonna get slated! 🤪 I actually spent some time familiarising myself with Māori vowels and diphtong sounds, and I will say most non-Māori locals commonly mispronounce Māori words. So as best as can be shown phonetically, I think they'd be pronounced more like the following: Motueka - mor-to-eka Riwaka - Ree-wah-kah Moutere - mow-teri Either way, regardless... the NZPA does look and sound rather tasty!
I ordered this one today, hope to brew Saturday. Really pleased I chose it based on this review. Did you ferment under pressure?
No, it was fermented in a chubby but with the sounding valve all the way open so no pressure build up.
This looks like a great kit, I'll get one ordered. Great video, keep it up
Thanks dude!
I tried mine after a week, was terrible. youd not know it was 2-3% (i did a minimash with carapils as some online said it was thin). There was no lemon flavour or aroma that I could pick up on. Neither was it sweet like real radler. A better recipe might be to get a 1 can lager/pilsner and brew it to say 10-12L, then just keg it with some cloudy lemonade or lemon fanta.
That looks brilliant guys, great video. It has a look of locals by Beak, tasting notes similar. Will have to give this a go. 🍺
I love beak, they always churn out some great beers!
I really like sierra and yours looks great. Loved the story chatting at the end brilliant nice one cheers 👍🍻
