Is "vertexcurveparam" basically a universal "curveu"? That would be super handy... EDIT: It's not. As it is generated depending on the vertex positions. Ha! It still is as long as the curve's points are evenly spaced.

houdini is great and all, but man for these small modeling tasks it's so painful to do all this rocket science compared to manual modeling that takes 1 minute

When at first there is one binding, and then it goes into a larger grid. But at the same time, so that the connection between the threads is preserved.
