How did you come up with an idea of inverted normals AO?

Initially I looked into reversing the ray node to simply get the inside distance. Then into looping the intersect()-function which seemed overkill and then I found the mask by feature-node to be most convenient. It also has a ramp for remapping the exposure mask.
