I didn’t have knee replacement but I am 11 weeks post op for mpfl surgery. All I see are videos for replacements but I’m feeling a lot of the same things. Does this work for other knee surgery stiffness and rom too or just replacements

Great video. I wish you had expanded to walkers. Both of my thumbs are fussed and using the walker without the arm extensions, hurts terribly. My doctor prescribed the extensions for my arms and I can walk very easily. I had my right knee done 13 days ago and at my follow up appointment, the doctor told me, I was doing great.

Where were you when I needed you? So pleased to have found you-8wks post TkR; barely 110 bend 5 extension; swollen and have gone through manipulation -it’s the Surgeon that is demanding getting to the bend requirements, PT is trying to comply with their orders…. Insane - I’m inflamed, the knee is traumatized and swollen -

Samantha, it has been 8 weeks since my knee replacement surgery. Only discomfort I have is stairs and chairs, which is getting better. I bowled (3) games. My knee ached alittle after, but not real bad. Did I overdo it too soon? Thank you, Jim.

All good advice for sure however engaging in an active physical lifestyle such as bike riding, and elimination of all sugar, toxins, and ultra processed food will significantly reduce inflammation will enhance your recovery. I am in day 12 of a total left knee replacement and in PT 3 times a week. I am already 114 degrees flex. Riding my bike 20 minutes each day. Use no aids to walk with. My game plan is to get released by my surgeon as soon as possible. I got clearance to drive yesterday. I focused on building up quality leg and calf muscles preop and it’s really paying off.

Could you discuss infections, PJI, years after surgery snd hoe to avoid them? Keep in mind I’m a germaphobe and clean constantly. In my case this infection occurred 3.5 years post surgery, it was scute and concurrent with my first covid infection.

Aloha doc. Mahalo for the info. I just had total knee. 5 years my left knee didn't bend . No dr wanted to do me since I was 50 n they said I'm too young. Now at 55 I'm 6 weeks after the surgery n my knee bends roughly 88-91 degrees. Pt says not enough. Any suggestions on how to break the swelling and scar tissue. Thank you for your video

The larger pad you are using does not fit totally around my knee. I can only imagine what will happen when I have surgery and it's really swollen. I called them and they said to use an ace bandage to help wrap it around my knee. Does the entire knee need to be enclosed? I'm out of options, I'll have to use ice packs too I guess. Bummer.
