I just picked up the "Let There be Rock" gold vinyl last week. My fave of all their albums. Now, for some reason, I don't like the Aussie version, as I think "Crabsody in Blue" is very weak. Plus, the album cover's not as good as the International version.

@@mark_beastpriest5539 interesting… yeah I guess The record company thought the same thing about Crabsody and that’s why they took Problem Child from Dirty Deeds plus they didn’t want to release it here in the states anyway ( deeds) .. the album cover with the band pic is kinda cooler then the guitar fretboard .. But it’s still a killer album🤘

@@augie3281 But having said that, the Aussie "Dirty Deeds" is superior to the International version, at least in artwork. I never got the artwork by Hypgnosis, it really has no AC/DC vibe to it.

The first albums released in Australia were the only blue roos after 77, blue roos were done away with . 2nd pressings of these albums were the blue labels and yellow strobes around the labels. In 78,1st pressings used the blue labels with the yellow strobes around the labels. After 78, 2nd, and 3rd pressings had black labels.

For some reason I consider Live evil the cream of sabbath's discography. Even though they did Ozzy era songs on that record but man to me I would prefer to listen Ronnie singing War pigs, Iron man, NIB and more than Ozzy. Ronnie just sounds too badass on this record. Live evil personally touches to my core and I would pay in grands to get the footage of it! Ronnie's vocals, Tony's guitar unlike on any other album, Same with Geezer's base and Vinny's crisp drumming goddamn man just listen his fills on this record!

Ronnie is one of the greats … his work with Sabbath is amazing … Sabbath kinda became two if not 3or 4 different bands with each singer … I love the Dio years …. But I gotta be honest … those Sabbath albums with Ozzy are magical in many ways .. I grew up with those albums .. it’s hard for me to hear anyone else song those songs but Ozzy. Just like David Lee Roth with Van Halen , it’s hard hearing Sammy sing the old VH songs … there is no right or wrong in anyones opinion… all the music is great ! We all love these bands for a reason .. Rock On!! 🤘🤘

Nice work Augie Dawgie , yeah man the first pressings were known as the 'blue roo' pressings . I've got the first Vinyl box set with the almighty Bon on vox ... which sells for ridiculous dollars . I grew up with 'ACCADACCA' and as a kid every birthday or x mas a brand new AC/DC album was bestowed upon me ..... great vid man .... BTW and FYI ... it's pronounced Power Age , two words with a very heavy Australian accent thank you very much captain twang . Cheers Big Ears . 😉

I'm thoroughly disappointed that Walmart isn't carrying the 2nd batch of 'DC gold vinyl in store 😔 I enjoy being able to go in my local Walmart and pick up new vinyl for my acdc collection. Did you see that acdc are selling their first 2 Australian albums at the dive bar during their pwr up tour?

And the parisian show couple of days before, Trust came on stage and they played ZZ TOP' s Tush with Maiden for a special encore, may be there's a bootleg somewhere about this event...we have To check out! Amazing memories from an Amazing era for me,Thanks for sharing ! 🙏🇬🇧👍

I'm thoroughly disappointed that Walmart isn't carrying the 2nd batch of 'DC gold vinyl in store 😔 I enjoy being able to go in my local Walmart and pick up new vinyl for my acdc collection. Did you see that acdc are selling their first 2 Australian albums at the dive bar during their pwr up tour?

@@augie3281 yeah I did look online, they're there for shipping only which I guess that's gonna be my only choice unfortunately lol. And those 2 aussie albums are exact reprints of the original releases with the blue 'roo on the labels. Pretty cool they are doing those but we need to be able to buy these from their online store! 😀

Cool collection. I also collect boots, but on CD. I must have 30 Maiden boots and nearly as many from Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Priest. And a few killer early Mercyful Fate shows.

@@augie3281Very interesting review, about "Brain Damage in France " it was the Clermont-Ferrand show november '83, I was there, MSG as guest, I still have the ticket dedicated by Harris and Smith, what an amazing night!! And the parisian show couple of days before, Trust came on stage and they played ZZ TOP' s Tush with Maiden for a special encore, may be there's a bootleg somewhere about this event...we have To check out! Amazing memories from an Amazing era for me,Thanks for sharing ! 🙏🇬🇧👍
