The Shout 'era (look, sound, attitude, etc.) is untouchable. Crue was amazing from late 1981 to mid 1986.

Great take on the Crüe! I had the original cassette (long gone) and many years later eventually bought the Japanese CD import version with the original black cover (the U.S. CD version was the same as the cassette cover with the 4 members on the front cover). Great album!

@@augie3281 I've got a feeling the 'rarities' are going to be the same stuff we've already had. I've read that there are seven tracks. They posted a demo of Black Widow on their youtube page yesterday, with the SATD box set cover, so that will probably be on there, plus the stuff from the Crucial Crue CD reissue would make six tracks, so there may be one more. After all of the reissues and box sets etc. throughout the years i can't believe they've suddenly come up with some unreleased stuff. Hopefully i'm wrong though.

Great video! Man, how I loved Motley Crue when they first came out. Those first 3 albums for me are fantastic. I hear a lot of shit about Theater of Pain but I think , with the exception of the 2 hits, it's great. The look sure was a turn off though I'm very envious of the tour program you have, it's cool as hell! I unfortunately never got to see them in concert. My sister saw the Theater of Pain tour and so I got a pretty cool jersey from it but would have loved to have actually been there. I'm seriously considering the boxset. They are always so pricey so I've had to miss out on a lot, did get the Venom and Cirith Ungol boxsets a few years back but haven't been able to get much else. Always enjoy your videos:)

Wendy!! I have the Venom Boxset… love it. I’m probably going to pull the trigger and get the Motley Boxset… 🙄 That sucks you e never seen them , I’ve seen 4-5 times in the 80’s ( hence the tour books) . Theatre is a good album. Took me a few listens to get used to it when it first came out ..but I dig it …the Crue Boxset I saw is $234.00… maybe you can find it cheaper…it’s a ridiculous amount I know … it’s a joke really.. glad you liked the video ( this was a good one lol) Have a great weekend!! Hey, Aug-Dude!….I can’t believe this classic slab of rock music is 40 years old…To this very day, I have never seen a more original band than Motley Crue, man they had everything going for them…Interesting how Vince Neil was never the greatest singer in the world but more than made up for it with his magnetic charm…Nikki is a terrific songwriter, incredibly talented guy…Did you ever see “Tommy Lee Goes To College”, very entertaining…Thanx for the great vid Aug!

Yeah Crue was at the right place at the right time in the 80’s… that album still rocks 40 yrs later. I still can’t believe it’s that old .. As a whole the band killed it , separately , Mick was the best musician, then Tommy , Nikki , Vince…. Vince voice was original, you can hear him struggling on a few songs on Too Fast and Shout… but it worked and the producer made it sound like “ screaming” per se… motley had the right team behind them and the songs … everything just clicked … those early 80’s were crazy. And Crue fit right in ….

Hey Cooorrrvette. Funny I used to have a 1980 vette. Black with white leather interior… T tops ( shaded chrome) it looked like the bat mobile with all the curves … Back to Crue lol. For me I agree most of their albums had a lot of filler “ Shout “ for me is the most solid and the Corabi album is great … the rest …. Not so much … Bob worked on Bon Jovi New Jersey album , Aerosmith , Cher, skid row, the cult, David Lee Roth, the offspring , Nina Gordon, nelly furtado and some others. He produced and engineered sometimes not at the same time … I hear what your saying , but if the “ Band” wants a “ Certain Sound” then it’s the producer & Engineer to find that sound … If Metallica wanted to break away from the “ Thrash” thing and Crue wanted a “ Fatter” sound then they got it … and Bob helped get that sound .. some of the other bands I mentioned “ Don’t “ have that Fat sound… yeah Bob helped shape some of the songs and helped with using different instruments ( like most producers do) .. But In the End “ The Band” has final say.. Lars & James are 2 VERY strong personalities.. if they didn’t want that sound , they would have stayed with the “ And Justice for All” sound … but they wanted that sound … Burn back to Crue lmao!! Again … they have a ton of filler songs ,, but to some people they love those songs … to me Theatre is not “ Great” lol. It has its moments, just like the rest of them … Whew!!! That was a lot lol. Seriously thou thanks for watching , commenting … it’s all good !! Metal🤘⚡️🤘
