Yeah man , 'kill em all' was a game changer . I was 17 in '83 and bought the album from my local record store and was blown away when i first heard it . Rocket Rod!! For some reason Ace Frehley “ Rocket Ride” popped in my head lol. Yeah Metallica, Anthrax, Venom, Slayer we’re all just killer bands back then , Mercyful Fate as well!! Yeah the “ Metal Up Your Ass “ is the picture of the knife coming up in the toilet bowl lol.. There are some Hairbands that had “ Pro” guitar players come in and play leads and rhythm guitar. Drummers were sent in as well…

Forever will be my favorite Metallica album🤘 wish we could get Doc Brown to take us back to that first show you saw..AND that flea market with all the import metal!

Would love to see your Ozzy Vinyl collection. Also would love for you to do a top 25 albums cover. Would probably be hard to narrow it down to 25 might have to go with 50. Lots of stories there and alternate album covers ..Just brainstorming a little. Thanks.

Almost anything iron maiden has done. Screaming For vengeance.. Definitely invasion of your privacy. Holy Diver. Creatures of the night. That's just a few of my favorites off the top of my head. All great albums… yeah Ozzy Bark.. he sat for a looong time lol. The maidens. I love motorheads Overkill.. soooo many ..I’d have to Do a metal and then a Rock one…

Such a great album not a bad song on it! hard to believe 40 years has gone by but credit to the band they are still making great music imo!

Crazy right!! What’s funny is that .. that’s one of the FIRST things I saw when I first bought the album and pulled that sleeve out.. and of course I’m thinking they were opening for kiss but it wouldn’t make sense with that Kiss Thing on the floor .. so I figured they were just KISS fans … lol.

Hey Mitch … yeah it’s a great album. When it first came out .. it was like the American version of Motorhead … it just killed… it kicked off the whole thrash movement …great stuff. Thanks again!! 🤘🤘

I guess the Roseland ball room show you are referring to was special because after that night Metallica signed to Elektra, Anthrax signed to Island, and Raven signed to Atlantic records like...the very next day.

I have 4 of the 5 box sets, they're great - the only one I didn't get was puppets because I got greedy and was waiting for the amazon price to drop and then it went out of print... that's my biggest non-purchase regret

@@augie3281 in 2018 I had just gotten back into vinyl (didn't even have a turntable yet) and got the Justice one when it came out in 2018 for around $186 and lighting a few months later when the price dropped on amazon to $121.. was hoping puppets would drop too - it was hovering around $180 and then BOOM out of print and went up to $2000... of course then I bought Kill Em All and preordered the Black album box (and the black album cover album) for full price (as well as the Tool 5 LP box for $180 - which eventually dropped to $50) for fear of missing out.

I have to decide whether to bother with the Load box set. I hate that album but my OCD will kick in and make me get it. If I preorder it will still be in stock 10 years later for half price new, if I pass on it, then it will go out of print too - Murphy's Law

Of course. That’s how it always works!! Crazy right. I’m not sure I’m getting the load box. It has “ some” good songs. I don’t know. I think I’ll revisit that album first before pulling the trigger and getting it ya know ..

i had backstage passes for the calgary show of ozzy/metallica, but ozzy had a 'throat infection' and cancelled. then metallica went on their own and the rest is history. i will never forgive ozzy for that.

That sucks! The one and only time I seen them in Calgary was for the Death magnetic tour will see them again in Edmonton 2024!

Yeah it’s sucks!! But truth be told .. Ozzys voice back then was horrible… he sang like a drunk frog … his voice was always cracking !! I’ve seen him a few times back in the day, and everytime his voice would crack at every show….
