How great was it being a teenager in the 80's ... didn't know it at the time but this was the golden age of metal . T.A.N.K and Raven absolute classics . The 2 Anvil albums you showed were about it for me too , if Lips just played guitar and they had a decent vocalist they might have made it . Anyway i'll see you on the hell patrol .😉

Dude it was amazing being a teenager in the 80’s. Al the original bands, all the great opening acts like Wasp, Accept, Quiet Riot, Great White, Queensryche, you name it.. Metallica opening for Ozzy, Maiden opening for Priest, Ac/Dc opening for KISS. It was non stop…. Hard rock/ Metal at its best !! The Hell Patrol awaits!!!

Raven, Anvil, Tank and Tokyo Blade all should have been huge! If only the world was right and just. 🤘

Love the raw sound of tank they should have been bigger than they were! Anvil great Canadian metal band you really need to go back to Hard N heavy it’s my favorite from them so good and a bit raw as well! Think I was 14 and picked up Raven & Pile driver on cassette blind buys Raven was defiantly the better of the 2! Have a good week man!

Wow ,I had to stop ur video and listen to Raven ,the first album ,as u were raving ( or should it be raven about them 😂) about them so much ….how did I miss this band in the late 70s NWOBHM era . I was big into Tygers of pan tang, diamond head ,maiden etc but somehow missed Raven . You can see where the Darkness singer got his influences from … thanks for the tip ,think I’m a Raven fan now 👍

Rich… hey man yeah I love those first 3 albums by Raven which is why I “ Raved” about them lol. Good one! The darkness singer ?yup sounds just like them lol. But that’s about it lol.. I have some other NWOBHM albums I’ll show.. I liked Tygers. Specially the two with John Sykes on guitar .. it’s cool you checked out Raven. “All for one” out of the 3 I showed you is the best but the other two are killers as well… That’s why I make these videos to maybe turn people on to something they missed or weren’t sure of….

Steve… yeah man. The Rods were kinda big back in the early 80’s. I’ve seen them a few times in the smaller clubs.. And Venom…. Love those guys … well the older albums… I’ll show my Rods albums soon…have a great week🤘

Dangerous Toys I hand their first two albums/ cds… best of friends is a great song on their second album .. Raven has a new album out called All Hell’s Breaking Loose and it is PHENOMENAL! Easily top 5 for the year so far. For some reason, I missed out on Raven in the early 80s even though I was in the record store nearly every weekend checking out new material. So what you went over tonight helped me out.

Raven aren't Irish, they're from Newcastle in England like a lot of the nwobhm bands of the time were, probably because neat records was in roughly the same area

Raven’s Stay Hard wasn’t all that bad but The Pack is Back was a terrible album. Hard pressed to remove All for One as my top Raven album. Too bad they didn’t get the dues they deserve. Raven rocks hard to this very day, awesome body of work they’ve put out.

I’m going to re visit Stay hard again… sit down and listen… ( following my own advice lol) as well as Anvils Hard & Heavy… All for one was one of those albums that’s hard to top in the Raven catalog… the first two albums come close….

My tastes my be different… I’m glad you dig the channel … I’m having fun with it and really like turning people on to stuff that maybe they don’t know… but that’s cool your open minded about music. @@augie3281 I'm leaning towards ravens 1st album and if it's as good as I think it's going to be will order the other 2 that you showed and I know Amazon has them cause I've already put them in my cart, were not to far off in age so some of the stuff you've shown I do have like white snake and have been picking away at Judas priest, the next 2 from priest will be " point of entry" and "sad wings of destiny!
