My first Priest album I got in 82 and I still jam to it to this day. And I was lucky to see them on there Defenders of the faith tour one of the best concert I've ever been to and I was lucky to catch one of KK Downing's guitar picks he threw out to the crowd.

Hey Tom. Yeah great album. Like you , I have some great memories as well with those songs .. I was still a teenager when it came out ..at that point I was buying Priest albums as they were coming out .. I heard Unleashed first , then I went backwards.. British Steel wasn’t out yet … so from Steel on I was buying… all those albums have a special place with me…🤘

I saw Priest on the Vengeance tour, too, at City Island in Harrisburg, PA. Iron Maiden opened. I didn’t even know who Maiden was at that point. But when they broke into the chorus of Run To The Hills, I got such rush. I new they were going to be big. And Priest, of course, was fantastic. Just like you described.

I was in my girlfriend's car riding with her and she had just done some shopping and she says reach in that bag and give me that cassette and it was JP, she had a killer Alpine system in her car and I cranked that shit up and couldn't believe how good it sounded. That same day I drove to the mall and hit the record store for the vinyl and cassette. Love this damn album.

Fantastic album! Bought it the year it came out , i would have been 16 years old. That album is pretty much burned in my brain lol . Saw them on that tour but not with any band you mentioned , it was Heaven ( Bent?) as the openers in Greensboro N.C. one of the best shows ive ever attended. Wasnt aware of the double disc cd with the live show , will definitely have to pick it up! One last thing, youve got fantastic taste in music. Absolutely love the albums showing in the background. This was my intro to 80s metal, and I got it between 6th and 7th grade when it came out. Still my favorite metal album....partly because there isn't a bad track on it, and partly because I remember how awesome the 80s were to me and it's a portal to better times.

Dave Holland was pretty amazing on this. A bit unfair he wasn't posthumously inducted with the rest given he was on Defenders also. His conviction maybe the reason. The U.S festival appearance is astonishing, worth getting the 40th anniversary for the dvd alone.
