1.) Hey! I'm a GenX'er (Barely - 1968)! We didn't sell anything out, that's the next Gen. 2.) Cliff #1 but I agree - Robert IS a superior bassist. Side note: Took me awhile to realize because bad production but Cliff was a LOT better than I thought he was though. 3.) The "Wrong Beat" part: That was the correct beat for the song (Ride the Lightning/The Call of Ktulu) - maybe a bit improvised for live performance, but it was in time. Maybe it was a lead in to the tempo change part (same song)? 4.) Agree - 1st 4 albums best. ALL the rest = duds. 5.) Lars actually WAS going to get fired. Unfortunately Cliff died and it would have probably ended Metallica if they lost 2 core members, so...Unfortunately Cliff died and Lars kept his job. :( 6.) Megadeth > Metallica

Hi there, I just caught your channel for the first time. I like that you not only reacted but demonstrated on the practice pad. Anyway, the reason I’m really sending you a message is that you don’t have appeared to watch a Caleb H video yet. The young man is from England/UK, and he is a fuckin’ beast on the drum set. He loves heavy music (his favorite band is Slipknot and he got to throw sticks out into the crowd with Jay at one show. Nothing seems to scare him. He was playing Rush at 6 and 7 flawlessly (Subdivisions and Tom Sawyer). He keeps taking on more and more challenging drummers including Tomas, and yes just covered Bleed and nailed it including the ghost notes. And for being only 9 years old now, he’s incredibly powerful. He smacks the living crap out of his snare drum. I’d love to get your take on him, because I’m baffled. For the love of God I saw a video when he was 8 and he’s already doing stick twirls in the during the song. I’ve seen many drum instructors be blown away by him, as well as reactors. Thank you.

From a playing standpoint I'd argue Cliff was still the best. He had a big part of writing and arranging all the classic songs and riffs. He was a big classical fan too, which is evident in his bass solo, Pulling Teeth. Had he lived I know he would have continued evolving as a musician and hopefully either left Metallica or convinced James to fire Lars and Kirk. We, unfortunately, got stuck with this timeline...

What I’m not a fan of, is what she’s doing. She’s acting like, she’s creating stuff and she’s so new age. Like she’s so artistically above everyone, but everything she’s doing has already been done. Her make up is obviously ripped off from the band kiss. Most of her artistically woke stuff, has already been around. I get it, that’s most kids today. Acting like they’re created a trend, yet it’s literally been around for decades. They just discovered it now tho and it’s not new. Yet, they keep acting like it is. Also, it’s not giving credit where credit is due. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t write the song JoJo. What matters is your lying to everyone and saying that you did. Karma is not your song and somebody else wrote it. Stop taking credit for things you didn’t do.

A couple of the Village People were straight actually.. But your point is still valid. When I first heard "gay pop" I said it was an oxymoron but I'm a bitter Gen X rocker who's been chewed up and spit out by the same music industry machine that's been pumping out formulaic corporate products and calling it "pop music" for 20 years.
