Big fan of yours! As someone pretty far left I appreciate you coming at this from a geographic and sort of politically neutral stance. Personally, my criticism of the song would be the same as yours but further.. in that it exemplifies a lack of the economic education you mentioned, which from our perspective on the left leads to hatred of the 5’3 300 pounders. Kudos for saying both sides need to work together. Real politics exist outside the mention of any names :)

Thanks for turning me on to that song. It's refreshing to hear socially conscious music again.

Also, as a Canadian I understood that it was a critique of Washington immediately. It's obvious.

I think music & Art has more or less been a space for liberals to embrace the ethos of expressing themselves without fear of repercussions of normie society... That’s why the argument has to be made that it usually comes from a presubscribed ideology. I’m definitely not one for staunch partisan politics but if I have to defend immigrants jumping borders to escape persecution &, or poverty, or LGBTQA+ having the same freedoms as any other American in this country, or a single mother that has the right to choose what she wants to do with the pregnancy, then I will have to choose the party that is more in line with those ethos...

I saw the confederate vs. north take by some other "journalists" as well. Some people will make any stretch to fit their narrative. It's just disgusting if you ask me. I thought the main message would be something most people regardless of race or political affiliation could get behind but I guess not.

I have been excellent at not jumping on trends. I only built my entire channel on the "drum teacher reacts" trend lol

@@JunkdrummerTV I'm not criticizing you, sir. I'm a subscriber and a fan. And ya ya I take back drum teacher. But a bunch of generally music teachers popped off around the same time and whether we want to nitpick niches, reacting is it's own trend.
