Easy Lover by Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey is one of the greatest pop songs of all time. Great vocals. Masterful arrangement. That song makes me wanna take a hit of hot hose water, ya dig.

People don't write breakup songs like they used to! The man's a genius. Always has been. No need to explain 'why'. He was born. A genius happened. The end.

Agree, Phil was a major influence on my own drumming career and a true legend and agree, craftsmanship is a disappearing thing these days. Love that intro on this track and that groove, holds everything together within the whole arrangement; what a pity about his health now. I’m also from the UK.

ahh the 80's to early 90's Phil was ubiquitous. You couldn't turn on the radio (or MTV when they played actual videos) without running in to Phil. From Genisis, to solo, and then he became The go to drummer for a lot artists in that time (both session and live).

'Turn it on again' is the essence of what I like about Genesis.

Always been a fan but recently I’ve been analysing phil Collin’s songs, he’s a master and this is coming from a death metal guitarist lol , anyway good video those little nuances are what I love in a song

The live version does the intro as the outro and it is glorious.

Just watched MMW video and I may have recommended this one before but I think you would dig Trioscapes.

I would have been one of those guys giving you crap about “pop” Genesis 15 years ago. I have since seen the errors of that. Being a 46 year old, Phil was all over the radio in my childhood, maybe I was burnt out but I find myself more into 80s Genesis and solo Phil more and more over the years. Still love the Gabriel era Genesis though. Probably going to see Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited playing The Foxtrot album in October.
