Cooking Polish dishes can be challenging, especially in the beginning. My name is Natasha and I grew up in Poland, where I learned how to cook under my grandmother’s watchful eye. After college, I moved to the U.S. and quickly discovered there were many people out here who have Polish roots but no idea how to cook the dishes they grew up with. I hope this channel helps you reconnect with that part of your heritage. Was your babcia Polish? Do you have a Polish spouse? Perhaps you too, moved to another country and find it hard to adjust your favorite Polish recipes to realities of a strange grocery store. This channel is for you.

cool ginger bread house
Thank you 😄
What is that flour please? All purpose?
Yes, all purpose works great
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely stunning, adorable!
Thank you! 😊
Do you have the template posted somewhere?
Sooooooo Frikking COOOOOOLLL!!!
That gravy looks delicious but is much too thin for my liking. Rather than saving the duck's feet and boiling those, I feel like I'd just add an unflavored gelatin packet before reducing. Cheers
Wow! You are an artist! Wonderful job!
Thank you so much!
do you share template?
i thought there was a pattern to be shared?
amazing! beautiful! you’re an incredible artist and i hope you make another one this year!!
I’m working on it now 😁
do you have a sketch of the house you are building, can you share it please?
That's not 6 cups of floor? Is it supposed to be 3?
Yes, it’s 6
Great recipe and presentation 👍 💛❄️🌲
Thank you so much 👍I appreciate you 😘
This was very satisfying to watch! Beautifully done. I have no artistic skills. I just bake. But this video made me want to try it out!
Thank you so much 😀 You can do it! 😘
Thank you
They look delicious, but next time try remove the thick bitter rib on the leaves before you roll them.
Sehr schön 🤩👍👍👍
Danke!😘
❤
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure 😊
Wunderschön 🤩!!!
Excellent video! Yes the red cabbage and onion peel ones are the best looking ones and so easy to make. Instead of feathers, you could put paraley leaves for example. And traditionally, instead of oil, we rub them with lard to make them shine.
Cudowne!!
Dziękuję! ☺️
Prawdiwa polska kuchnia, super sfilmowana!
Dziękuję bardzo! 😘
Thanks for posting and love the scrabble tiles for commentary!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! The tiles were my daughter’s idea 😄
It looks like a house across the street from me. Lol it also looks delicious.
It does? 😃 that’s awesome!
@@cookingpolish Yes! Lots of Victorian row houses in Toronto, Canada🇨🇦 💕
I’m making them again this weekend- they probably won’t make it till Fat Thursday 😂 They’re simply too delicious ❤
What are the herbs & measurements of the ingredients?
Hello! All ingredients are labeled at the beginning of the video. You’re probably asking about caraway seeds? Measurements you can kind of observe while watching the video too, but honestly, as opposed to baking a cake, making soup doesn’t require exact measurements. You can see that 5 potatoes are used but you can use 4 or 6. Use as much bacon you wish, add as much or as little sauerkraut as you prefer, or just eye ball it, taste add more if necessary. One head of cabbage, one onion, caraway seeds to taste. Add as much stock as needed to turn it into a soup like consistency- start with 4 cups and go from there. I hope this helps. Happy cooking!
Hello, question - can you fry these without boiling?
Boiling is the best method with these 🙂
@@cookingpolish Ok, thanks
Generally, dumplings are fried once they are cooked
This is stunning!🤩🤗🤩 Could you share the template, please?😊
Thanks! Doing this for xmas!
Enjoy!
I can't believe how awesome you did I've made a few gingerbread houses in my time but never as beautiful as you have hope to see more of your videos keep up the great work and have a merry Christmas and happy new year
Thank you, Linda! Merry Christmas to you too 😘🎄
where do i find the template???
Hello! The house is fantastic, you did a great job! I have one question though, what kind of molasses did you use? Was it the corn one? Thank you!
I use sugarcane unsulphured molasses. My favorite brand is Grandma’s. When I lived in Poland I used sugar beet molasses or honey.
magnifique, maison très élégante ! Merci pour ce partage !
Thank you! Happy holidays!
Great job!!!!
Thank you!

Thanks! Happy holidays!

Million thanks! 😘
How many cookies does this make
Depends on cookie size
Oh my goodness this is lovely! How many batches of dough did you use for this recipe? I drew up a template for a house that looks like it's a similar size, and I'm trying to figure out how much I need to make 🙂.
I’m not entirely sure… hmmmm….I made two double batches first, I think that took care of the walls for the most part. Then I made another double batch for the roof and fencing. I didn’t make all the dough at once because my fridge was too full. Lol
Какая вы молодец, какой труд, какое мастерство, это просто волшебство! Спасибо большое за великолепный новогодний подарок, за детские воспоминания, которые проснулись вновь!
You’re very kind! Thank you for your sweet comment! 😘
