Jody Barr

I'm the Chief Investigative Reporter with Queen City News, Charlotte's FOX affiliate. The reports you'll see here are long form investigations I've turned. Most of my work deals with government corruption, wasted tax dollars and politicians who choose to operate outside the rules.

As journalists, we can only do what we do with the help of sources. There are two things reporters must execute flawlessly: report accurate and true information and protect sources. If you've always wanted to blow the whistle and didn't know who to trust, let’s talk. Holding the powerful accountable for how they conduct the public's business and how they handle our tax dollars is the most important job we have as journalists. Feel free to reach me on Facebook, Twitter or by email: [email protected]

I am glad that most trade workers need to walk off these jobs. Under paid trade workers need to make more money. To many lazy bums behind these desks making so much money.

Just looking at the cop and its obvious he is either a roid head or is naturally hyper aggressive. Just looking at the sheriff, its obvious he is a good ole boy who runs his department encouragingly violence for compliance

Cops are paid yang members. Laws and rules don't apply to them. That's why they still commit crimes even when recorded.

What I don't understand is why so many women choose to date and reproduce with guys like this and expect a different outcome. The judge was wrong giving custody back to the father. Unfortunately this won't be the end of this case

I can't understand why this has been happening over and over for years !!!!! Between city's permitting and code enforcements and the banking industry and they can't get a grip on stopping this !!!! There is plenty of money spread out in these 3 industries, but absolutely no one is stepping up to fix and repairs this problem. Is it a lack of education or just plain laziness you be the judge of that. When you don't pay your bills, people come out of the wood work to collect their money. There is a way out now !! of stopping this crap !!... to much money at stake to be stolen from consumers . step up and be responsible or get out.

This is why I did not pay my builder the last check until the home was inspected ect. But the fact these companies can get away with this crap is so frustrating and it happen because American do not care unless it happens to them. If you want things to be better people might realize most of the laws that effect them the most are state laws and not federal. Yet few people show up for those state and below elections.

This is unbelievable taking people's money and not building their homes, this is the worst as you can get, the law, should put the hammer down on them. Stop him, make an example out of him that they won't do it again. People around him won't do it again? That's that's what the law supposed to do.Stop these crooks and favorite innocent people
