@@Bigrignohio The problem is by disabling all comments, they also removed all existing comments, which IS a violation. Once they turned on comments, it became public forum, and that applies even when they again disable them.

So they illegally meet in secret, to discuss "no wrongdoing"? Seems like just meeting illegally, is doing some wrong.

I trust you're reporting Mr Barr... You seem to do a thorough in-depth investigation .. Keep on doing the good work! I wish you could do one on UPMC insurance to see how many they get to sign up for Medicare coverage, telling certain meds will be covered then lie immediately after said coverage starts . I'm paying 393.90 monthly now for one medicine,and that's about 40% of my total monthly income..It's not right! All I'm asking is for what they agreed they would cover..

Public Servants have become Public Criminals without ANY accountability. Disturbing to think a failed turn signal can end in death. Yet a PUBLIC SERVANT on ANY crime gets preferred treatment? High Treason needs SWIFT ENFORCEMENT. Public Trust disappeared decades ago.

City bank accounts and all city bookkeeping are supposed to be public records. Request the public records and get them to an independent auditor for review.

While working on a design for a new building for a small city, the local city council was very careful not to have too many council members in the same design meetings. They wanted to avoid the appearance of meeting behind closed doors. It was a bit annoying when someone wanted a specific council member's input but they weren't there, but I had a lot of respect for their dedication to behaving ethically.

Then they should be totally fine with providing every detail clearly and concisely to anyone who asks, not trying to run and hide. Keep pushing!

Not much money, not many opponents. If a city with half a billion dollars of funds loses a million, who cares, if a town with five million loses one it's noticeable. Also we had two sheriffs run, Bukowski and Burkowski. Who won? Who knows. They don't have debates and there are only two candidates. Rinse and repeat for city council, school boards, mayor - there aren't enough candidates and no one is running or debating so it's just a name on a sheet. Hell a local town, the mayor was chosen because of the forty or so he was the only one who would do it. What is it with large cities with race riots and corruption?

Seriously- I used to think our elected officials were reasonably smart. (yes, I know, that makes me not very smart myself) but really, WHY would anyone think that in this day and age they could hide wrongdoings with bluster and attacks on the reporter letting us know what is going on?! I understand many just don’t care, corruption and incompetence is everywhere- so it seems too much to deal with. There are people that DO still care about right and wrong, and we cheer on the few people bold and persistent enough to expose it. Go Jody!
